Does anyone noticed that the only reason it was Thoros that died, instead of any other person, was that if someone else died, he could revive him? They just wanted him out of the picture, so they figured out some lame ass zombie bear. I cannot believe how this series became a completely unwatchable crap. It is written by idiots, about idiots, for idiots. I am out.

That's the way to show everyone!

  2. Most importantly, fuck email, send a raven.

All the arya hate...at what point did anyone think she is/should be all fine in the head?  She's a killer.  Arya has never forgotten her butcher boy and Sansa not speaking up.  She is not jealous of nice dresses and hairdos, she's disdainful of them.  All that being said, i felt like giving Sansa the knife was a warning, and not only of herself.

LF is scared of Arya, he doesn't know quite know how to predict her and knows she can and will kill him without being worried of consequences.

As far as sending Brienne to KL, i think Sansa did it first and foremost because LF tried to push the thought of her (clumsily i thought) on Sansa.

One issue, though: Tyrion says to the Tarlys: "This war has already destroyed one great house". How is he counting to only end up with one? The Baratheons are goners for sure. And the Tyrells, and the Tullys. You can argue about the Martells. Frey and Bolton were warden houses when their last members died.

By "this war" i took it to mean between dany and the lannisters, so just house Tyrrell.

    14. We have a huge budget for the dragons and those ravens and everything but absolutely zero for Ghost?

I read somewhere that creatures with fur were much more time consuming and costly to cgi with any degree of realism.  It made sense to me but it doesn't make me miss ghost and nymeria any less.

Totally agree. There's no way Dany is getting her hands on Bronn and Jaime.

I have to admit that despite having read the spoilers I was worried for Bronn, which actually meant I felt something for a character for the first time since about season 4. That was nice.

Apart from the Dragonstone parts I enjoyed the episode. I thought it was a bit ridiculous that the archers were aiming for the dragon and not the rider (although that seems to be a recurring thing in Targaryen history), and that Bronn was tasked with manning the scorpion instead of chopping through the Dothraki, and of course Dany's an idiot for deliberately burning the grain she was supposed to feed her army with but overall I enjoyed it, certainly more than any episodes from S5 and 6. Oh, and Arya beating Brienne was awful. If I never read the word 'badass' again in relation to Arya it will be way too soon.

I think it was a bit anticlimactic how LF just handed the dagger to Bran, who handed it to Arya. I know there's definitely going to be payoff with him giving her the dagger but the previews made it seem like it might be more interesting than that.

I think they were just aiming center mass style but it seemed to me that Drogon pulled up to protect his mistress.  Also, intentional or not, he seemed to avoid exposing her for most of the battle (no dives straight down to come in low, etc).  Though that could all be unintentional on the showmakers' part.

On the topic of the dagger...my money is on that dagger ending Cersei, Littlefinger, or both.

  6. Sorry something is very screwy when I try to quote...

Perhaps there is only supposed to be a static number of FM and you must replace one.  My thoughts that led to this are centered around the kindly man saying "Finally a girl..."  I just don't understand what Arya did that is remarkable outside of killing the waif.

  7. Just a thought on "becoming no one."  Perhaps every faceless man has to kill another faceless man sent to kill them.  Being given to the many faced god and giving him the killer instead is perhaps how one becomes "no one."

  8. Aryas arc confused me.

I didnt understand shit. Can anyone enlighten me?

When did she lose the game before?

Why all the beating even when she was saying the truth?

Why suddennly she is shown rubber mask gallery?

Why cant they drink from well themselves? Clearly Arya has no magic..

Jaquen/The Kindly Man deemed Arya ready after she gave death to the girl as a gift. A gift to both her and her father, given with compassion.

  9. 3/10

I think the main reason I gave it a 3 instead of 1 or 2 is that last week dropped my expectations.

One thing I don't understand about the posters here...I see people talking about how horrible the sand snakes/ dorne scenes are (and I agree). However the same folks will rate the episode a 7 or higher. When something is that bad, how can you separate it from the whole so easily? If I loved every other part of the episode, I still couldn't go over 5 as those scenes were just insanely bad.

I had less of a problem with the end than a lot of people. However I dislike the shows portrayal of ramsay. I think they give him too much credit in terms of self control.
