  1. I'm willing to bet most people here who have kids would have done the same thing.
  2. That would be the trolls who pretend to be some type of cult, fanatic book purists who are adamant they aren't trolls, yet still give each show a 1 rating to stir the pot and try to get reaction. They kind of remind me of the sparrows actually...
  3. Easily a 9. So many epic moments. A lot of nods to book readers as well. Well done.
  4. The sword WAS Sam's by birthright. It belongs to the family. It doesn't belong to Randyll personally. What a ridiculous notion. Since Sam took his night's watch vows though he no longer is entitled to anything from House Tarly including the sword. So Sam did actually steal the sword. If he had never joined the night's watch what he did would have been perfectly within his rights.
  5. Bran's vision of the Mad King, BENJEN IS BACK, Arya going out on her own, Edmure back, Walder back, Sam takes Heartsbane, Daenerys finally going to Westeros and Drogon is HUGE.......wtf so much epic stuff. 9/10 easy.
  6. 9/10 you know what's hilarious? They've pretty much established most/at least more of the show is indeed based off of what GRRM has planned for the books. Curious as to what everyone who is giving the episodes 1's, bitching about the 'fan-fic' writing and direwolf deaths is going to say when it plays out this way when winds actually does come out. Will they say GRRM is a terrible writer too?
  7. You do realize it's been confirmed this is accurate and not even close to fan fiction right?
  8. It's sad isn't it. What's really sad is that the people who run this site are probably the biggest asoiaf fans there are. This should be THE place to come discuss all aspects. Unfortunately they allow all of the trolling, hating, D&D bashing to go on unchecked here, ultimately ruining these forums.
  9. 9/10 Episode was epic. Very well done across the board. Fantastic job doing Jon's revival. They kept everything so consistent with how Thoros did it the whole way back in season 3. Had some nice nods to book readers as well. PS. If you go up to you're account settings there is an option to ignore users posts. Very helpful for removing the trolls here who try to ruin these boards by giving episodes like this a 1. Won't mention names but I added a few just now and it works well. There posts just don't show up in your view of the thread. It's a shame mods haven't banned them already but at least this option is available.
  10. I think GRRM has no choice but to side w HBO. After all of the despicable things Linda has been saying to people he can't remain associated with her, no matter how much she's helped him over the years.
  11. She's terrible. Do you see what she's calling people? She is openly calling people 'retards' and 'c*nts' and telling people to 'go f*cking die'. Obviously uncensored though. Unbelievable. I won't buy another book she's associated with. If I'm GRRM I am dis-associating myself from her ASAP.
  12. I try not to respond to trolls because that's what they want but you make it really hard. Please stop. Nobody gives a f*ck if you watch the show or not.
  13. The ratings people have given this episode only validates that this forum consists of children and trolls. That's it. There is zero open mindedness.
  14. This is hilarious. So many Stannis fanboys it's absolutely hilarious. You people are acting like children. GRRM told D&D Stannis is going to sacrifice her. How can you guys just ignore this? Don't give me all this 'The quote is so vague I'm sure he won't be the one' BS. That's petty and desperate. Stannis is in a pretty miserable spot in the books right now. If something else doesn't give (which it doesn't seem like anything will). He's going to get very desperate himself. He could easily send for Mel and Shireen in one of his last resort attempts to get out of this mess he's in. Get passed your blind love of this character and look at everything that's recently been revealed.
  15. I find it hilarious that all of the Stannis fanboys keep saying 'never in a million years would he do this' and others who think differently 'clearly don't understand him and haven't paid attention to him while reading the books'. LOL just stop. He killed his brother, other family members, and wanted to kill his nephew. D&D literally said GRRM told us this was going to happen in the book so we put it in. How you can still blindly make these claims is perplexing. There is so much pointing at this happening in TWOW it's silly.
  16. I get that you are not happy with the show but cmon can you give it a rest? You aren't contributing anything at all except taking up space with these whining rants. Its pretty obnoxious.
  17. Please just stop. If you're offended by the scene, fine. Many others were too, and that's perfectly fine of course. It's terrible. Stop making stuff up to try to argue with though. Its lazy, and all it does is stir the pot and gets people to talk about rape. I come here to discuss the show. Sansa's scene and the other sexual assault scenes have been discussed ad nauseam. We don't need people like you making up things to keep it going. I disagree with just about everything you said, but agree to disagree. I'm sick of this. It's a made up, fantasy TV show based on extremely graphic books. Enough.
  18. Just to save you some time in the future...not one person gives a f*ck what you think
  19. Was I watching a different show? When did Gilly get sexually assaulted? If you think that scene was only a means to get Sam laid then i dunno what else to say. You don't think this scene had anything to do with showing how much Sam has grown as a character? He stands up to his brothers, pulls a sword on them, gets his face kicked in literally, and still gets back up to challenge them again! That was the point of the scene. Sam has come a long way from the 'coward' in season 1 who immediately falls and yields to Rast in the training yard.
  20. 100% they will reveal R+L=J in the show. LF and Sansa discussing Rhaegar and Lyanna. Ser Berristan telling Dany about Rhaegar. Stannis expressing he didn't believe Jon was actually Ned's. Maester Aemon talking about Targaryen's then the camera pans right to Jon. There is the in-show evidence. All just from this season. They are maybe over doing it. It's being layed in quite thick.
  21. Seriously....shut up. It was a joke. People are so fucking sensitive anymore. Constantly looking to rip people for saying the slightest hint of something that could be considered 'insensitive'. Give it a rest.
  22. I see these types of posts a lot and it's unfortunate. Your problem here is a combination of ignorance of tv producing and blind fandom of the books. It's apparent that you haven't the slightest inkling on what it takes to produce a tv series, let alone one of this magnitude. Either that or you're such a fanboy you choose to ignore the fact that the show is a television production. Just one example "Jaime sneaking into Dorne is, HANDS DOWN - the dumbest plot devise the show has EVER had . WHY IS JAIME SNEAKING INTO DORNE???? Nobody has come close to explaining why" They could not have been more clear why he is sneaking in. They have said it 3 times from 3 different characters. Cersei is afraid that the Martell's will hurt Myrcella in retaliation to Oberyn's death. But you knew that. It's a deviation from the book though, so automatically 'it's the stupidest thing ever!!!!!! I hate you D&D!!!!' Please. It's embarrassing. They already have the biggest cast on TV. Think about that. Out of every single show on television, they have the biggest cast. They have 10 hours a season to fit all of these characters in. They need to find ways to include everyone or just cut them out completely. There choice was probably completely cut out the entire Dorne/sand snakes storyline and just show Jaime sitting around in Riverrun doing nothing or combine the two. With Jaime heading to Dorne, you now include him, Bronn, all of the Martells, and the sand snakes. People might think so far this isn't compelling, but it's a hell of a lot better than cutting the Dorne storyline and just showing Jaime wait outside of Riverrun feeling sorry for himself. This probably a very dumbed down example of their logic. For a huge casted TV series, it makes a good deal of sense, as does most of the other 'changes' they've made. Unfortunately, people choose not to apply logic to this show for some reason, though.
