How is Daenerys’ army being supplied?

Its called a supply train for a reason, they need to keep coming. Dany has lost control of both Dorne and the Reach with her allies deaths, But as has been said, it won't be acknowledged, the same way Dragonstone was empty to walk right in to.
  2. Targaryens have a tendency to hype up their special-ness only for them to be brought back down to earth as the mortals they are

    [SPOILERS] Jaehaerys and Alysanne

Are they though? It takes two to tango and everything seems to have come from Argella besides the name. If anything the name just hides what they really are, the Storm Kings. Its a nice bookend for that era of the story. The family will likely get another cycle soon as Stannis and Shireen repeat the Argilac and Argella story. Defeated in battle, betrayed by her own people. Then another bastard to take control.

    [SPOILERS] Jaehaerys and Alysanne

Seems like a set up for the Rebellion. The conquest started with what happened to Argilac and Argella, their descendant put an end to the Targaryens but they had been itching for their moment.

    [spoilers] Aerea

I don't get how it would be. I think it is perhaps an inversion of Arya hiding inside Balerion. Or maybe Rhaegal will whisk her away at some point.

[SPOILERS thru S7] Where did the show go wrong?

I would say the drop off is symptomatic of the writers being ready to move on for a long time. This last season was evidential of there rush towards the end, creating unearned developments and relationships. It was all plain sailing until the Red Wedding and the Pink Wedding but after that they started taking a cleaver to the source material. They don't want Aegon so Dorne is useless. They didn't really want the Iron Islands so Euron is poorly realised to replace the mad villainy of Joffrey and Ramsey. They wanted out on the Stannis story and so that ended like a damp squib. They also have preferences not supported in the text, namely Cersei and Sansa. Sansa disappears from the last 2 books as she spends her time eating lemoncakes. Yet they kept her and gave Bran a season off, which seems to have been a big mistake as his evolution is inexplicable. Arya barely gets any time in last 2 books but they hack at her story even more until there is basically nothing. Each episode could have been a different learning task in season 5 but as it is she just sweeps up and washes dead people. Now she's back and can do all these things and people are left wondering where she learned those things. They were meant to show us in the rich culture of Braavos, instead it was just miserable. I love Cersei scenes and she does become more prominent as the series goes on but they've done so much for Lena that isn't shown in the books. She's always been at the forefront and we've always known her point of view.

The Long Night Casts Two Leads

Who is to say the First Men weren't skinchanging dragons? The gift having become suspicious in the North by the time the Targaryens showed up?

    The Dayne Heir(ess)- Daenerys

Where is the evidence Ashara was older than Edric Dayne's father? Because if she isn't, Edric is still the heir even if this conspiracy is true.

    lust or love regarding R+L

Teen hormonal lust for Lyanna, prophecy for Rhaegar.

They can get rid of Jon and declare Sansa Queen. What exactly can Dany do? Sure we talk about the North being at the greatest threat but Dany has seen it. She can't pull a Cersei and expect to win by waiting for the North to be exterminated. The North has as much leverage as she does. Its the same choice Jon has, she can fight them living or fight them with the dead. There are bigger things than her pride and her sense of birthright.

The main point is, we can banter back and forth whether we approve or not til the cows come home but its how she sells that to others. I don't see how any of that mess up can be explained. And its not just Dany, I think Jon will and should suffer the consequences too. This is a story where breaking a marriage promise gets you, your mother, your allies and your armies murdered. We are seeing characters do much worse now

It does not matter. It is her dragon. It didn't get there without her help. She could have chosen not to go. She could have considered for ten seconds that putting the most dangerous creatures in the world in the path of something that can raise the dead is a bad plan. Just because Tyrion and Jon also messed up doesn't change that. Yes, having those characters die would be sad, the writers shouldn't have put them in that situation anyway. But in-universe, its better those 6 die than have the wall fall and have the Kingdoms exterminated. Don't you think? She may have good intentions. She may not have meant for it to happen. It does not matter.

Well she's not really doing a bang up job when its her dragon that just destroyed the wall that keeps the White Walkers out

What could be problematic is if the Starks pack up. If they really are going for Aegon and his sisters. That leaves Dany in the cold. Also if the North proclaims Sansa Queen and Dany is faced with a ruler who is legitimate, chosen by their people, not crazy and who she can't get in bed with. Well she can but I don't see Sansa going for it.

"He has to know, we have to tell him..." WHY?

Donella doesn't inherit Hornwood. She is granted it by the Starks due to there being no heir. The same way that there should be a grand council when there is no heir to the Iron Throne. They also consider Laurence Snow. The Starks could equally have bestowed it on a new family entirely. Its not really inheritance as she is not in line to inherit. As for UK succession laws. They aren't particularly written up. We have an unwritten constitution based on precedent. Any writing of succession pre 2013 will be based on this with omissions such as the ban on Catholics. So any law will be 'As its always been plus/minus new thing' eg As its always been, minus Catholics. The argument about the medieval era doesn't fly in this consideration as it was the Medieval era that set those rules. Before 1066 the Saxons were quite different. They would choose with the existing King giving preference to certain members in the Witenagemot. eg Harold Godwinson wasn't the son of Edward the Confessor, he was the brother of his wife. But we know those aren't the rules Westeros use and therefore do not apply.

"He has to know, we have to tell him..." WHY?

They are not ambiguous though. We know what should happen, that doesn't mean it does happen. Cersei on the throne doesn't mean she had a good claim to it beyond being on it currently.

    Can we talk about Jon?

He screws things up so much now that he essentially fails upwards.
  18. AryaNymeriaVisenya

"He has to know, we have to tell him..." WHY?

But that would be through the Targaryen ROYAL bloodline. Not the Baratheon bloodline. It has to be the right type of relation. You can't just be related in any way at all. If you believe that succession their heir is now the nearest relation to Rhaelle that isn't from the line of Aerys (as they were exiled and deposed) Go find Kate Middleton on this list: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Succession_to_the_British_throne That is the ludicrousness of Cersei's 'claim'
  19. AryaNymeriaVisenya

"He has to know, we have to tell him..." WHY?

Monarchy never ever goes backwards. Its a bloodline, Cersei is not of Robert's bloodline. She is Royal by marriage and not by blood. Tommen's heir is a 2nd or 3rd cousin in the Stormlands. Just like when Robb and Cat don't contemplate Cat as his heir. She's not of Stark blood. The next true born Stark blood is in the Vale if Jon isn't legitimised. Everything has happened so fast the next Baratheon blood in line hasn't had time to consolidate their claim

"He has to know, we have to tell him..." WHY?

I'm not American! Cousins and Aunts/Uncles are different. Avuncular marriage is not a British thing, maybe continental Europe. Most definitely ancient Pharoahs.
  21. AryaNymeriaVisenya

"He has to know, we have to tell him..." WHY?

Because he's fucking his auntie and Starks don't think that is A-OK.

The younger, more beautiful queen . . .

But wasn't Danaerys always the most obvious? Cersei thought it was Marg but few fans fell for it.
  23. AryaNymeriaVisenya

    Can we talk about Jon?

?? Where did you get this from? The Starks were Kings for thousands of years. Robb rose and planned a permanent Kingdom. He was murdered and the Boltons pledged to the Iron Throne but probably meant to secede when the time was right. With the Starks back, a new King was named. Torrhen knelt, the one and only, until Jon.

The younger, more beautiful queen . . .

Its Sansa. The North made Jon king. They can unmake him. Danaerys seems doomed. Missendei brought up one arrow killing her before the attack on Casterly Rock. Then again here its mentioned by Jorah that one arrow in the north can kill her. One spear killed Viserion while Dany wore White and Gold, Viserion's colours. Ygritte was killed with one arrow. I see history repeating.

    [TWoW Spoilers] Aeron I (Balticon)

So I take it that this means the 'Bride of Fire' trilogy relates to the Three Mounts you must ride. The Silver and the Ship with Aeron on the Prow fits that. But these are very literal compared to the blue rose in the wall of ice. We assumed the Blue rose was Jon but the other two are not as figurative. I would assume that she will need to 'mount' this wall of ice as in climb it?
