  1. I feel geniunely sorry for everybody who rated these ep below 8, or who was somehow strongly dissapointed. Every week I look forward next ep and every week I get top quality show which I can enjoy (with some small or bigger nitpicks here or there), and sometimes I get something extraordinary like this week. And apparently many of you watch the show week after week just to get more frustrated and angry because some line you love from the books was omitted or changed, some character was "butchered", episode was "anticlimactic", or there was "tons of filler" etc. I am not trying to mock you, I am just saying that no matter who is "right", I (and many others apparently) clearly get the better of it. I know it won't help you, but here's the thing: Season finale will not be as you hope/dream/wish. They will change a lot. I am pretty sure that something big you all expect will not happen at all, something will be changed. There will be scenes you don't expect at all. So do yourself a favor. Stop counting that Stannis needs 15 minutes, Dany 5 minutes, Tyrion 15 minutes and so on. By doing this you are ALREADY frustrated because no, ep 410 won't last 75 minutes, it will last 66 minutes. You will not get it all. Accept it before the show airs, and you will not be dissapointed and nervous when they suddenly insert 3 minute scene which "shouldn't" be there. Your expectation is what ruins the show for you, not showrunners work.
  2. Or maybe just show characters make sometimes wrong or illogical decisions, as do their book counterparts, and as we all do in real life.
  3. Gave it an 8. Mainly because Sam's scenes were really boring, as well as Marg/Olenna, and even tho I don't mind brothel scenes and understand why they must be in the show, this one was seemed absolutely useless to me. Oh and I also think Sansa's escape could've been handled better. Everything else I found good or awesome. Tywin/Tommen, Tywin/Oberyn, final Castle Black scene, and esp. Dany's scene was great. I don't get why people are calling this "flat". It was here best scene since Dracarys. Anyway, Pyp won the episode: "I don't think I can kill a hundred wildlings" :cool4:
  4. Sorry if this has been discussed somewhere, but there are two things I don't get: 1. What's the point of Sansa's necklace (hairnet in the books)? After reading books I wasn't sure, but after reading some threads here I guess some part of hairnet (one jewel in the show) was used to poison Joffrey. Whoever poisoned him, why would he do it in such a complicated manner? To make it work, killer would need to a) make sure that Sansa wears necklace (don't remember who she got hairnet from in the books), b) get close to Sansa and take some part from it without her noticing it before c) it was the right time to put it in Joffeys wine. Why wouldn't the killer simply take some poison in whatever he can in his own cloths? Doesn't make any sense to me. I guess I am just missing something, so somebody smart please explain. 2. I guess that Olenna is the main suspect, but even after slow rewatch I don't see any chance for her to poison that wine. Marg gets the cup from Joff when he goes to kill some doves, then puts in on central table (where only royal couple sits), and later Tyrion takes it back. Olenna sits at least 3-4 meters from the cup, and only stands for couple of seconds to cheer Joffrey after he cuts the pie. There's like 0% chance she could walk to the next table and spill something in Joffreys cup unnoticed.
  5. Gave it a 9, but might change it to 10 after rewatch. Not sure about Stannis scene, everything else was great.
  6. I gave it an 8. Few things I didn't like that much: - Tyrion meeting Dornish guys in the middle of nowhere felt weird - Brienne's scenes (she doesn't belong to KL at all) - Dontos randomly returning (from the show POV, after being absent from S3) - Olleana Tyrell - I don't share general opinion how funny she is - Shae licking Tyrion's finger What I loved: - Jon was better than ever before, his best scene so far (or maybe its better to say Kit was better than ever before) - Thenns were scary and Magnar was great (and I didn't mind their canibalism - changes like this make the show even more interesting to watch) - Thorne (much better balanced than I remember him from the books, where he seemed like an ordinary villain) - Ygritte/Tormund exchange - Joffrey being Joffrey - Sansa - Dragons! Oberyn was great. Tywin/Jamie scene felt weaker than I expected, but I guess it wasn't their last scene. I don't share common excitment from the Arya/Hound scene (somehow it seems to me that people are just happy that Arya and Hound kill some people), but it was obviously very good. Overall great episode. Two questions: 1. Can somebody remind me what were Cercei/Qyburn talking about (symptoms dialogue). 2. Does anybody have a clue how long it is possible to hold dagger/arakh/sword the way that GW/Dario did (for a strong man)?
