Family History: House Bellanti are bannermen to House Manderly. Having traced their allegiance back to when the Manderly's still ruled along the Mander river. When they first moved to the north with House Manderly, House Bellanti was given the resources and land to build a small keep near White Harbor. The keep is located along a cliff, which provides additional protection to the defense of the keep. Though not as large as Winterfell, it is considered an impressive castle that gives any potential assailant pause. House Bellanti also own a great villa within the walls of White Harbor, which are frequented when summoned by their liege lord. Typically the heir of Bellanti keep uses the villa as their place of residence. One of House Bellanti's most notable family members was Dominus Bellanti, lord of Bellanti Keep during Aegon's conquest. He is generally considered the finest swordsman the north had to offer during this era. After King Torrhen knelt to Aegon, Lord Dominus challenged Orys Baratheon to a duel to see who was the best swordsmen between the two. The duel managed to be declared a draw by Aegon himself and in recognition of his fighting prowess, Aegon bestowed upon Dominus a valyrian steel sword. Aegon had his smith's reforge and rename the blade to suit the colors of House Bellanti. When the Blade was finished, Aegon gave Dominus the sword who subsequently gave it the name Cobalt. In return for this generous gift, Dominus offered Aegon his second son Julian, a notable swordsman himself, as a member of Aegon's newly created Kingsguard. To which Aegon gladly accepted. Julian perished ten years later in Dorne whilst protecting Aegon from harm. Thus setting the blueprint of a Kingsguard member sacrificing oneself in order to save the king. During subsequent conflicts, the members of House Bellanti have been staunch supporters of the Manderlys, the Starks and the Targareyn kings. This loyalty to the Targareyn's was at it's peak during the Blackfyre rebellion, where several member's of House Bellanti perished fighting on behalf of the Targaryen's. During Robert's Rebellion, young lord Alexander Bellanti recognized the madness of Aerys Targaryen and knew that a change was needed. Alexander hoped that Rhaegar would usurp the throne from his father before it was too late. When Robert slew Rhaegar on the trident, Alexander Bellanti made certain that the body of Rhaegar was not disrespected by his fellow lords and given all the proper respect the great prince deserved, a sentiment back by Eddard Stark. Alexander was amongst those who saw the sacking of Kings Landing by the Lannister's and from that day forth grew an animosity of the lords of the west. In current events, Alexander and his son and heir Marcus, were in charge of ensuring the Frey's were given their "guest gifts" upon orders of Lord Manderly and await further order's from their liege lord.
