    More like "when is anything going to happen to propel the story forward significantly?" And right when those few things do happen the book ends. More happened in the first half of Storm than Feast/Dance combined. They're not bad books, but they do drag.

    In season 5 Tyrion will come across a rotting boat out in the ocean with Gendry's skeleton in it. He'll comment on it with a droll witticism and that'll be it for Gendry.

    That reminds me, GRRM was on Conan (who's a big fan of the show) a few days ago and he mentioned Ser Pounce, and how everyone loved it and how big he was. Conan and Andy were like "Err, what the hell is Ser Pounce?" And GRRM just kind of sat there looking awkward.

    No, Jon was at a disadvantage with his longsword. In a tight quarters fight like that you'd want shorter weapons.

    Jon's younger and far less experienced than Karl. It made perfect sense that he lost the fight and it didn't diminish his character at all. He's a good fighter but he's not some superhero.

    6. I was bored throughout most of it. Too many solo 'character A has a conversation with character B' scenes. Loved the ending at Craster's though. And Arya and the Hound were awesome as usual.

    There is a difference between "I didn't like the changes they made here..." and "THEY DIDN'T DO THIS THE WAY I WANTED IT TO BE DONE GOD THE WRITERS ARE FUCKING IDIOTS SHOW RUINED ARGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Too much of the latter going on around here. Come on, grow up.

    Solid 9. The only thing that bogged it down was the long and unfortunately tame sacking of Meereen. And Dany's pomposity has reached new heights. I like Daenerys, but I wish the writers would stop the worship and get a little darker with that storyline and make things more interesting. Too much Dany-Christ-Savior bullshit going on.

    It's pretty silly. I can be a nitpicking nerd too, but I still think it's a great show. Some people seem to genuinely hate most of it but still watch every episode.
