Squire (4/8)

  1. It did bug me that ghost is never around. Someone there must own a dog. Real dogs will never lay more than five feet away and refuse to stop looking at you. They definitely dont just forget you exist for months at a time. Summer is always with Bran except to hunt. Shaggydog is like inches from Rickon at any random time. That's what real dogs are like. If those two ever die, you'll need to get through the wolf first. Bran would have been dead 30 times by now if it weren't for Summer.
  2. Was awesome. I almost wish they could pretend Dorne and Littlefinger don't exist any more. What the hell is the point? Show us the real war. As always, the best scenes and the best action always takes place in the North. Their penchant for killing off people who aren't supposed to be dead even made me legitimately fear Edd and Wun Wun were toast. Not often you can get real suspense when you basically know what's going to happen.
  3. That's actually what I meant by "double." That winning his own trial is winning her's, too, so he'd effective be her champion as well.
  4. I thought it actually made sense in the book. Most of the Lannister and Tyrell armies are gone fighting off Ironborn and subduing the Riverlands. A lot of the Kingsguard isn't present or is injured or otherwise incapacitated. The cityguard might not even be loyal if it seems the money is close to getting shut off. Plus the Faith obviously have the backing of a huge number of people, and the city and countryside alike would riot if their trial was ignored, and the Faith Militant includes well-trained, battle-hardened knights and lords, not just peasants, and at least in Margaery's case, her arrest had the backing of the court because she was accused of adultery against the king. Of course, none of this is true in the show, so it makes way less sense for it to be that easy to arrest a queen and the heir to Highgarden.
  5. I think Loras will absolutely demand a trial by combat. Unless Brienne is coming back to King's Landing, the Faith doesn't have a champion that can defeat him. He might even just double as Margaery's champion as well.
  6. I wasn't even bothered by Sansa's sex scene (expected worse, honestly), but still thought this was easily the weakest episode of the season for butchering the Sand Snake attack/Myrcella rescue plot and the Loras trial. It's ridiculous that multiple hostile parties can just walk into the Water Gardens and get that close to the prince and princess, and even more ridiculous that a rabble of barefoot men with pitchforks can apparently take over the capitol and snag the queen as the kingsguard and Lannister/Tyrell garrisons watch and do nothing.
  7. I think she was prepared to have sex. She was taking off her clothes, just slowly, and willingly married the guy knowing marriage involves sex. She was just a little shocked that he made Theon stay and watch, and probably not 100% ready for her first time (who is?) compounded by the fact it's with this asshole. It was pretty tame vanilla sex, though, especially compared to what he does to Jeyne Poole and apparently being covered in blood during sex with Myranda from past scenes.
  8. Yeah, I'm almost completely certain this is what is happening and I'm puzzled more people don't see it and are worried about Sansa. Littlefinger isn't here to make an alliance with the Boltons. He just killed Joffrey Baratheon (which Roose does not know) and returned the North their Queen. He did what Robb tried and failed to do. The northern lords will love him for this.
