  1. ^^^ Tysha doesn't matter for the show. Having Tyrion kill Tywin because of Shae, a character the show audience actually knows is a much better plot device than having Tyrion kill Tywin because of Tysha.. a person they likely wouldn't have even remembered. Luckily, D&D are much smarter than the average board user. Otherwise, this show would be a mess that only book readers could follow.
  2. LS will be the beginning of Briennes plot next season. I wouldn't doubt if episode 1 ends with her hanging Frey's in order to set up Brienne eventually meeting her. They'll likely have Brienne being turned away at the Eyrie, fighting the bandits in the cave, being attacked by the fake hound and then ending up on LS's noose. Just like Stannis being moved to this episode, which people whined about endlessly (and ended up being better due to giving more to the Wall this episode), everything will work out fine with LS as well. You guys need to quit building up crazy expectations for each episode and just watch. You discuss Stannis and LS the previous two episodes like they were locks and then moan when they're delayed a bit. It's really quite sad.
  3. Worse rated season ever? As if the hand full of whiners on this forum's opinions mean anything at all? Go read some reviews from out side this pit of despair if you want to know how real people feel about this amazing show. Honestly, the moaners on this site are so bad, I wouldn't doubt at all if most of them didn't have 20 different accounts on here just so they could post their idiocy under 20 different "users". I mean, have you ever read the complaints? They're almost always exactly the same. So, either we have a ton of clones that all whine about the same ridiculous things, or we have a few users that create multiple accounts just so it looks like more people agree with them. I'd say the latter. This is seriously the worse forum I've ever visited.
  4. Also, you remember when that one guy said "and"? I mean, WTH? I was completely ok with the whole episode until that guy said "and". Completely out of character and it just shows how stupid D&D are. I mean, come on... at least TRY to do this right D&D.... that guy NEVER said "and" in the books for god sake. 1/10
  5. Brienne also best Loras, who was a reknown fighter as well. Not to mention easily holding her own against Jaime before he lost his hand (though Jaime was tethered). If Brienne has no chance against tough foes, then there's no point to her at all. Also, wait... you mean Arya and the Hound leaving the Eyrie and Brienne and Pod coming to the Eyrie... they actually crossed paths? Yeah, that's completely unrealistic.....
  6. Why would they use Tysha when using Shae works so much better for the show? Tysha being mentioned previously still works for this new twist because it makes this the second time that Tywin has hurt Tyrion due to who he fell in love with. Tyrion killing Tywin because of Shae simply makes more sense. Plus, they were able to do this scene without ruining Tyrion and Jaime's last meeting by having Tyrion act all bitter and childish.
  7. By the way, 20 "1" votes just goes to show how ridiculous and over the top this forum is.
  8. The episode, 9 out of 10. D&D covered everything and added in some cool stuff like the hound/Brienne fight for us book readers. If I knew everything that was going to happen due to D&D following the books religiously, I wouldn't bother even watching. Luckily, D&D are good at what they do. And I Don't care if they ever introduce LS. A stupid character that could easily be replaced. I wouldn't cry either way.
  9. Wait.. so people were hoping Jon would turn gay? Or am I just taking your comment out of context?
  10. Stannis would have to be bad assed for that to happen. But he's not.... at all. He's more whiny and entitled in the books than most of the ASoIaF forum goers here. Which says a lot.
  11. I have a feeling that will be the wildlings reaction when Jon first arrives at their camp. Honestly, I'm hoping Jon some how takes Mance hostage when all of the commotion starts outside with Stannis riding in. MOAR JON LOVE PREASE.
  12. I'd also like to add, randomly, that I've read some reviews online this morning and a few say, in a negative way, that the show messed up by having Jon see who killed Ygritte. They say that in the book, Jon wasn't sure if he was the one that killed her. Hmm... am I wrong in remembering that Jon knew he didn't kill her thanks to the type of feathers in the arrow shaft? They were different than what he used during the battle. Also, personally, I loved the way the show handled her death. After all the talk about wanting to kill Jon, in the end, her love for him caused hesitation and it cost her her life. I also loved that Jon, upon seeing her, simply smiled.. even though she was pointing an arrow at him at the time, his happiness in seeing her over ruled the fact that he may be about to die. "Blah, blah, bloah, it was teh cheezy?!?".. well, it's a TV show and it made for interesting TV.
  13. Instead of sending Val to meet with Tormund, Jon will have Tormund go out and treat with the wildlings. So, like they did with characters like Bronn, Tormund will likely be used more because his character already has some build up. You can't just keep introducing tons of new characters in the TV show or it will become even more hard to follow for the non-readers.
  14. Exactly. Sam and Gilly too. If people don't like watching Sam, then they're going to be disappointed next season because he will likely get at least 30 or so minutes throughout the season dedicated to his journey to the Citadel.
  15. Sam's about to get some show POVs next year like Briene did this year. And you really think them trying to get him some development time was the wrong way to go?
  16. Plus, Mance was counting on the southern raiders opening the gates from within.
  17. So, they should have taken away from some Sam character development for the sole purpose of having Stannis ride in and save the day? Which would have completely undermined the awesomeness that was a few NW men holding the wall against poor odds? Yeah.. great idea...
  18. "Butchering".... Haha. Wow... honestly, what they do in the show changes nothing in the books. Stop watching the show and reread the books. Problem solved. This forum: "I HATE the TV show! It's awful!!!!" *tunes in every week without fail*
  19. No, it wouldn't have. This episode was about the bravery of a few NW brothers holding the wall through impossible odds. Having Stannis ride in at the end and save the day would have distracted from that. The way D&D did it, we get both. We get the NW being heroic and next week, we'll get Stannis riding in to help. And I'm not a D&D apologist in the least. I mostly hate how little they've built up the wall, as it's my favorite locale in the books, but I completely agree with giving the NW their due for an episode without having some other entity rush in to save the day.
  20. Yeah, I'm a "moaner". People like you on this forum take moaning to an insane level non-stop. Heck, it's pretty telling when the "nitpick" thread is longer each week than the "positive" thread. You people live to be sulky.
  21. This wasn't a Stannis moment. It was a NW moment. Something that has come way too few and far between in the TV series. This was about Jon. And mark my words, Stannis will get maybe a minute or two and that will be it. They'll likely have Jon in Mances Tent while the Wildlings once again march on the wall. An army will roll in and start fighting them and you may get one shot of Stannis sitting in the back watching. That will probably be it. And this forums tears will be plentiful.
  22. They'll likely have Jon in Mance's Tent when Stannis arrives. They'll show maybe a minute or so of his soldiers riding in attacking with Stannis in the back doing his normal smirk. Mean while, I'll be laughing my ass off at the fact that this forum will once again be exploding into childish whining because "OMG, D&D hate stannis?!?" It will be hilarious.
  23. You'll fit in perfectly on this board.....
