Yeah it could be worse with what happens with Jeyne and even before that when she was forced to work as a whore. There's also that TWOW Mercy chapter... which well, I don't think anyone wants to see. It's terrible, dark and grim but its also in tone with the books.

Anyone see inside the episode yet? "When George first told us about this, it was one of those moments I remember looking at Dan and that's so horrible but also so good in a story sense." -- referring to Shireen burning I'm not sure if Stannis will be there in the books if it happens... but maybe he is? I'd have guessed Mel would sacrifice her to bring back Jon or something.

So uhhh Stannis vs Boltons vs Littlefinger? Who do you choose?

That whole Stannis/Mel scene from back in season 2 after Stannis lost finally came true. "You will betray the man serving you. You will betray your family. You will betray everything you once held dear and it will all be worth it because you are the son of fire. You are the warrior of light." Still, I am pretty bummed that Stannis really went through with this. Ugh. Well I can't root for show Stannis anymore. Still rooting pretty hard for book Stannis though.

No it will happen since Jon season 5 arc will be a set up for command. We just won't have the whole vote over days and like 5 guys being voted for command. Stannis will offer Winterfell, Jon will struggle with the decision but ultimately decide he can't take it because Bran is out there and that's when he gets voted by all the men. It won't be drawn out as it was in the books. Still though, next episode will be crazy jam packed.

Disappointed they didn't end with Stannis showing up but set up a good cliffhanger for show watchers. I think most of them will be surprised when Stannis saves them at the last minutes but still, I thought that was a great episode. Great fight sequences and freakin' Mammoths! I thought it was better than Blackwater.

There was a Joffrey death to sorta make up for it I guess but yeah its going to leave a bunch of show watchers disappointed. I will say as a show watcher only until this season, I did love the shocking deaths of Ned/Robb/Catelyn... I mean it was obviously very sad to see them die but at the same time, I loved that shocking moment, something which almost no TV shows or even movies can do to you.

That's not happening. If they were going to do that, it would have during season 3 finale.

Oh yeah forgot. I'm sad now.

That was just a really solid episode. I'll give it a 9. They played it pretty close to the books too with the Bronn/Tyrion conversation being word for word and even brought up Oberyn conversation that happened earlier in the books and it managed to work well. Sansa and Littlefinger... I guess they certainly won't back off the creepiness of that relationship. Brienne running into Hot Pie was pretty cool and learning about Arya and now she is on her way to the Eyrie. I liked the second Hound/Arya scene, liked that Hound opened up a bit. I was hoping to hear "Only Cat" but its not a big deal. Overall, the scene was cooler in the books with the whole reveal that Littlefinger was behind everything but it was still great nonetheless. Can't wait for the Red Viper vs The Mountain next week!

Thought it was another really solid episode but I was hoping for the Jon Arryn reveal to be during Only Cat scene.

Maybe it's because I started watching the show first and read the books later but I don't mind the deviations in this episode. Particularly with Bran whose story line isn't too interesting in the books and I am hoping Bran and Jon get to meet to each other. The last 5 minutes were totally WTF but I loved it. If the show wants to spoil me on WoW stuff, go ahead. Great episode. 9/10

WHATTTTTTTTTTTTTTT? That was awesome. I think I liked all the non-book stuff in this episode.
