  1. Jon/Wall/Stannis, Dany/Dragons, Bran and his gang, Arya/Hound/Brienne: 8/10 Tyrion/Tywin/Shae mess, ridiculous whitewashing, no Tysha, no Tyrion Jaime fight: - 3 No Lady Stoneheart: - 4 Final rating: 1/10 I'm not kidding, very disappointed.
  2. I loved the episode but I hate d&d for pointlessly killing or not even including all my favorite secondary characters. I hope Strong Belwas will become the Prince that was Promised, Rakharo will be the Night's King and Irri, Pyp and Grenn will be the three heads of the dragon. Pls GRRM, that will show d&d!
  3. I wanted to love this episode, I tried. But I hated it. Negatives: - Jorah's banishment was yet another shitty, terribly rushed Meereen scene this season. Way too short and no build-up. Instead of all the filler this season they could have shown the kiss and some arguments between the two to build their conflict like in the books. The banishment was the culmination of a long growing tension between Dany and Jorah in the books. Dany was terribly hurt and crying. In the show, she's the usual cold hearted ice queen, no emotion, nothing. The scene fell completely flat. These two have been together from the first episode, it should have been a bigger, more emotional scene. - Sansa's development is too quick. The disney witch dress made me lol. They should have given her a hat and a broom. Littlefinger's voice is laughably evil, he sounds like a demon with asthma. - Yeah, we get it Wildlings are really one-dimensional and evil and kill innocent people. But Ygritte is not as evil as the others, I mean she likes babies! So please be emotional when she dies. - Yay, another ten minute scene with Tyrion and Jaime talking in the cell. Why would we build-up the duel or do some other more important scene when we can have the tenth version of Tyrion in his cell. - Women bath completely naked and flash their tits for the camera for a long while before covering themselves. Men bath with their pants on and keep their whole body underwater with only their head peaking out so they don't distract from the naked women. It is known. - Duel was too short. Head crushing was cartoony as hell, I felt like watching The Walking Dead. Positives: - Missandei has an amazing body. As unnecessary as the scene was, that needs to be said. - Alfie Allen is amazing. I just want to reach through the screen and hug him. - Pedro Pascal was amazing, but sadly underused. - Arya's laugh.
  4. One thing that annoyed me was that Tyrion didn't ask Bronn about Shae. He was supposed to make sure she gets safely on the ship and all of a sudden she's in cahoots with Tywin and Cersei and Tyrion doesn't suspect anything? No questions on whether he betrayed him or how Shae happens to be back in the city after Bronn clearly said he made sure she left on the ship?
  5. I thought it was a good episode. I do have a few criticisms though. I don't get why they didn't have him just say 'Only Catelyn', would have been better than 'your sister' and the show viewers would have understood. I felt sorry for Lysa, she is a victim too, her whole life's been shit, no wonder she went crazy. The mountain looks too young, he's supposed to be older than the hound, but he looks 20 years younger. The Selyse and Melisandre scenes had a weird undertone, I hope they won't make those two have a lesbian sex scene but I wouldn't put it past the showrunners with their desperate need for exposed breasts... Oh, and Darrio has a really nice body and a cute butt. Dany was visibly pleased. She was like :cool4:  . It was great to see a woman in charge in this male-dominated universe. Too bad we didn't get an actual sex scene. Dany hasn't been with a man since Drogo died. It has been forever for her, so it's an important moment. They should have shown more of it.
  6. I wasn't trying to absolve Dany from a crime. I read so many critcisms of Dany being perfect and morally just and flawless on the show when actually that's not the case at all. That's what I was trying to say. They are showing her flaws. Some of these flaws are being too trustworthy and believing everything (like with Mirri Maz Duur, Xaro on the show, the Green Grace, it always ends up biting her in the ass) and being inexperienced and uneducated in ruling (the thing with gold for bones will create problems later), or white-black world views, were all demonstrated in the last episode. Her darker, cruel side is also not white washed on the show. On the contrary, show Dany is IMO a darker and less sympathetic character than book Dany. The doubts and insecurites she has in the books are completely absent from the show. Example: in the books it is made clear that killing the masters was a rash emotional decision. In the show she is clearly calm and collected and never shows an ounce of doubt. In the books however, when she sees the masters dying on the crosses, she is horrified of what she's done. She is reminded of the atrocities at the Plaza of Punishment in Astapor and realizes that she has created a horror as big. No such concerns are ever presented in the show. Instead, she's standing on the balcony of the great pyramid with on ominous giant banner above her head and listening to the agonized dying screams of the men she just crucified, without being bothered by it, maybe even enjoying it. That is a much darker image of this scene and Dany's character in general than I ever got from the books.
  7. I hope those who always complain about Dany being perfect and flawless are happier now, because she looked like a total idiot in this episode. The son of a slavemaster claims his father was totally innocent in the deaths of the children and she believes him instantly because slave masters are such honest people who always say the truth, right? Giving in so easily will make her look weak and manipulable to the Meereense nobles. Then the goat herder says Drogon killed all his livestock when we clearly saw that he only took single goat the rest got away. Of course Dany doesn't question this and promises him three times the worth of all his animals in gold. Barristan gives her a look like 'Are you stupid?'. She never asks for proof. How did the goat herder get the bones when Drogon carried his prey off into the far away mountains? Now when the word spreads that Dany is paying gold for animal bones, people can just burn their livestock, bring it to her and make some big cash (I think that's what happens in ADWD, correct me if I'm wrong), it was a really dumb move. They are really showing her as a bad and naive ruler from the moment she sits on the bench.
  8. I am not a book purist. I think the books have their flaws and things need to be cut and changed significantly to make the story watchable as a TV show. The Jon/Bran scenes were one of those changes I liked, which surprised me since most of the time the showrunners changed something significantly it was bad (Qarth, Talisa, Shae). I definitely prefered the craster scenes to Bran crawling through the snow again or Jon holding another speech about the wildlings. Dany's scene was okay. I don't like how they made her have a navy big enough to transport her army, makes her not going to Westeros a lot more frustrating for those that desperately want to see it. In the books she has no way to transport her people, that was a big reason for staying. It's hard to go anywhere when you lack the means to go from A to B. Loved everything with Lysa/Littlefinger/Sansa. Lysa's actress is perfect and Littlefinger was not as terrible and cartoony as usual. I really enjoyed that were was comparatively little of King's Landing, it's way too overexposed on the show and the scenes are always a drag for me. The ten minute dialogues there with nothing happening make the pacing in the show seem really weird. It feels like several weeks have passed in Essos and in the North since the beginning of the season and only a few days in King's Landing. The scenes in other storylines never get the time to breath compared to King's Landing.
