Indeed. Karstark seemed to be sitting next do Ramsey when he asks why the long-haired guy came to Winterfell. Not to mention Ramsey looked quite pleased in the next scene, and the guy was standing behind him, which to me means Ramsey was looking at "the gift" and he likes it. But then again Ramsey is a seriously sadisdic dude, so maybe the gift was not really a "gift", but something showing that the Umbers are still loyal to the Starks and Ramsey was just thinking of the many ways he could kill the guy.

He's goal with Sansa was to have the North at his side, but trusting Roose Bolton give the final touches on his plan is a very dangerous bet. I'm actually ansious to see what he's really planning if he really wants to give Sansa over to the Boltons. ETA: Was LF ever named Lord Paramount of the Trident in the show? If so, Tywin's death is even more damaging to him, since he can't count on Cersei Hates-Everybody-But-Her-Children Lannister to help him subdue the river lords. This would provide a reasonable explanation for him to attempt an alliance with Roose.

I hope they'll bring it up, even if it's just the thing with the cat. After all, her story there isn't really that complex so it's not like it would be too much.

For the same reason people read ADwD in a matter of days knowing it might take years for TWoW to come out. With this much build up, instant gratification seems a very pleasant choice. I for one am fighting my urge to download the leaked episodes with all my strength haha.
