It felt like nothing really happened. Actually it's felt this way ever since season 4, exactly the point in which the series diverts from the books. The writing has been terrible during all of these 19 episodes. The dialogues are so dull, that it makes you feel like nothing is happening.

Heh, first excellent episode in all of season 5. I thought Valyrian steel was something different from dragonglass. Maybe in the next book Valyrian steel will kill a white walker too...

5/10. It was 40 minutes of filler and 15 mins of actual stuff happening. Missandei, Greyworm, Myranda, ShowRamsay, Gilly, Shireen and Olly are annoying as hell.

You can't be serious. Season 1 is by far the best one, and seasons 2 and 3 had many epic episodes, precisely because they used the original material back then.
