  1. I want to be clear that if my time zone (GMT+7; 12 hr different from CST)  is the sticking point for others, please plan for others. I sort of assume I am the outlier and while I want to draft live, I also shouldn't be gumming up the works.

Yeah the league will be on Yahoo.  You'll be able to have 2 leagues, shouldn't be a problem.

Not sure about 2 drafts at the same time.

Maybe best not to test it. I can always just use a different Yahoo account if they end up being same time.

  3. Pretty much any time on those two Fridays and Saturday 26th. I am likely opposite hours to most people, with unpredictable windows of time in US evenings. If I have to auto-draft, so be it, but hard to really know.

We use Yahoo still? I have a work league but I assume I can have two. Anyone know if I can have two drafts run at the same time?

  4. Went to my first Twins game in about seven years. It was glorious. Sixteen dollar beers, one dollar per hot dog, an outfielder pitching the ninth inning, and several home runs in the late innings took the sting off the L for me.

Pro ball is good ball. Brilliant summer evening.

Pitch clock did force me to pay more attention than I remember. Not a wholly bad thing (and not at all bad when viewing on the teevees).

I did exactly this -- got one-hit by a stone talus several times in a row less than an hour after finishing the tutorial area.

For me, it was stumbling into a handful of blue and black bokoblins. One hit from the black ones and all of my hearts...poof.

I've successfully run away from the stone taluses and hinoxes thus far. I do a lot of running away at this stage.

It's been soooo fun! Checking in with some of my friends, we've all logged 10-20 hours and yet we've had wildly different experiences. All went in different directions, focused on different objectives. Delightful.

Yeah, I've really enjoyed what I've played so far too.

Crazy that they've managed to improve on the visuals of the original game. I saw a lot of people grumbling that the graphics were essentially the same, but the lighting is way way better in TOTK. Hard to believe it's a Switch game at times.

I agree! The Switch doesn't have the power of the major consoles but the designers sure managed to make some gorgeous landscapes.

Really struggling with not being the fully developed Link from BotW, though. I forgot a lot of skills in that one because I could just brute-force a lot of things.

Some fun puzzles so far, too. Just out of the sort of tutorial.

  7. Yeah, I love baseball and am okay with a relaxed pace...but nothing wrong with a bit of move-it-along. That said, I may be less enthused when I am at the park and miss things because I am chit-chatting, eating, or drinking and forgot to pay attention :D

I don't hate the start of the season for the Twins but they are already facing a raft of injuries to a number of starters, including Farmer getting a fastball to the face today. Yeesh.

And the Rays seem out for the blood of everyone who wrote them off in the push to pick NY or the Jays in that division, with the dark horse Orioles. I know not every opponent has been top-shelf but it's also 12-0 with a run-differential of +65. This doesn't seem like a fluke but a ridiculous hot streak of a very good team.

  8. Metallica, Kid Rock, Sevendust as opener. I think I was 15 at the time. It was the S&M tour and I was dumb enough to still think Kid Rock was entertaining instead of a douchecanoe.

Have been very fortunate to see a lot of live music. That show was a pretty good hook set into me.

  9. This is something I've had to think about recently. The vet says my dog should be around 12kg and the most recent visit was a bit over 13kg. That's not a big deal but I obviously have overdone it with feeding, especially when I was stuck unable to walk her regularly for a few weeks. The point is, I've reduced her food a bit just to make sure no problem arises.

As others noted, I think if The Chancellor is still fit and active, no developing paunch, you're probably okay. I admit that that seemed like a lot of food to me, but my doggo is 1/3 the size, so. :)

My dog looks like a wizard trapped in the body of a tiny brown labradoodle and it’s never going to stop being hilarious to me

Wizard doggo! Those eyebrows! Not sure how that video shows doggo being thick though... did I miss something? Am I the thick one?

Stitches come out tomorrow morning, so time for an update.

The marginal tissue they took out and sent to the lab was No Abnormality Detected - so it looks like they got all of it.
The mass was confirmed as a mast cell tumour.
Mitotic index (rate of replication) was low - so Grade 1 from the above.

On the hand, baby-boy has now had his first birthday, and has started humping.... everything - including his sister, the piano stool, the coffee table, and my shoulder.

That's best news that could be hoped for? Glad she's mostly in the clear.

How is the other pup humping your shoulder?

Maggie is at the stage where people can walk past us in the park without her immediately losing her shit and jumping all over them. But if any one of those people are foolish enough to say something like, 'Ooooh, look at the ickle puppy,' then all bets are off. They're toast.

Hahaha...yeah people don't quite know what they're getting into with my dog-monster. She's still adjusting to being alone all day and then lo! I return...and walk her where all the peoples are. It's too much for her floofy brain.

All agree she is an adorable little teddy bear though.

Maggie had her first battle appointment with the groomer yesterday.

After an hour-and-a-half of thrashing, crying, howling, and peeing on the grooming table, she is now beach ready. :D

I cannot believe I have to ask this again...

Is this the appropriate time to ask "pics or it didn't happen"?

    I'll accept "No, it's not."

But I'd prefer to see more doggos being all awesome.
