Did Theon "steal" Jeyne Poole in the wildling sense ?

It's been spoken of many times about Jon Snow having "stolen" Ygritte, and thus they may be - from a wildling point of view - married. Well, at least the stealing came first and the mating later.

Samwell Tarly could be said to have stolen Gilly in that same way.

So, even though Ramsay married "Arya" officially, does Theon having escaped Winterfell with her count as stealing her in that wildling way ? As well, the Ironborn do carry off women as "salt wives" too.

So is Jayne Poole now essentially Theon Greyjoy's "salt wife" ?

Salt wife maybe, but then that seems to be a kind of concubinage. Wildling marriage - no, because Ygritte says that the wildlings only steal unmarried women (no doubt raiders were always sure to ask first and check with the local registrar of marriages before carrying anybody off) and not wives (Jon V ASOS).

I suppose there is a complicating factor in that she married under a false name and a false cloak, but on the other hand she swore her oath before a heart tree, however on the third hand if Theon was to turn up in the Iron Isles with Jeyne Poole in tow as his wife who would complain? And wouldn't anybody who did protest about the legality of the wedding reach a sharp understanding of the iron price?

More amusingly if Jeyne was pregnant the two could bring up Ramsey's child as the future lord of the Iron Isles. How about that for a happy ending?
