Weeping Sore
It's really only tangentially hip-hop, but Frank Ocean's new album Blond(e) is fucking amazing. Deceptively low-key, hardly any beats, like weird woozy keyboards and guitar, has a kind of tossed-off feeling. Just really alive and free. Wow. Castel
J. Cole dropped False Prophets, which seems to be taking shots at Kanye at least. I think he has another track aimed at other rappers. I like Cole but I think he's a bit too didactic, frankly.Too needy for validation in terms of making "meaningful" hiphop. His constant struggles with his madonna/whore issues and his desire to punish "hoes" are also not endearing so, while Kanye is a jackass and deserves the stuff he said, I'm not particularly sold on this song. The flow is good but the beat and vibe are not for me.

DireWolfSpirit
Wow 24 yrs old, collecting Grammies, speaking out against gun violence, for Womens Rights, for Parental responsibility, donating a million dollars to Chi Public Schools......he's the IHeartMusic Awards Innovator of the Year, he's Chance the Rapper, and he's the very welcome, inspirational evolution of Hip Hop. So cool to see this mentality burning a path-
