Light a wight tonight
Not a huge point, but two major characters broke Westerosi law and one continued to live as if nothing had happened and the other fled the country to escape a severe punishment. To wit: Jorah Mormont caught two poachers and sold them to slavers, while Cersei Baratheon sold a servant to slavers after said servant gave birth to twins fathered by King Robert. At best Jorah would have been sent to the Wall, but he chose to split for Essos instead. Nobody said "boo" to Cersei, even though she'd killed the offending twins before selling their mother. Slaving is a big taboo in Westeros. How did Cersei escape all consequences for breaking the taboo?
Sansa_Stark
Remember, the story was told by LF. Meaning, chances are, it was half true. She had the twins killed, but did not really sell the mother to slavers. That's how I see it.

Winter's Knight
Mmuhh? I dont remember this Cersei incident. Probably because we only know of it through LF, who tells it to Ned, who identifies it as a common urban legend.
King Pellinore
Cersei gets by because she's Cersei Lannister and Tywin wasn't about to see anything happen to her. Jaime commanded his men to kill Ned's men and nothing happened to him either. Tywin Lannister ran the Realm for close to three decades and now he's dead. How long will Cersei survive his demise? Sansa_Stark
Probably because we only know of it through LF, who tells it to Ned, who identifies it as a common urban legend. Who then thinks it was believable enough for Cersei. I should know better than to trust LF. I don't think its completely untrue though. It fits Cersei's MO . At least the killing of the twins. That explains it. I wouldnt be too surprised if he was right though.

Kennedy the Keen
Cersi was the Queen and no one was sending her to the wall. If not for fear from Robert (if he's still alive at this time) or fear of Tywin. The Mormonts are also of the north who have been raided by the Iron Born for years and made into thralls(slaves). So House Mormont to is as a grievous crime and punishable by death or the Wall. The rest of house Lannister could care less about this bastard mother and even considered Cersi's actions acceptable. Any woman who bore Roberts bastards were viewed as disrespect to Cersi and proof of Joff Myrcella and Tommens true father.

Dany Girl
Cersei was Queen= the only person Cersei answers to is Robert. Also, Jorah was caught. Cersei was never caught, there are only whispers. The only person who would be able to say, "ya, Cersei did it," is likely Tywin, and like hell he's gonna turn her in. Just remember, Cersei is an evil, hypocritical, calculating bitch. As long as you remember that, she's quite an enjoyable character.
King Pellinore
Without characters like Cersei, the books would just be a bunch of cool characters talking to each other about how cool they are...........YAAAWWWWWNNNNNN. sorry.
