King Behind The Wall
Arya will probably not look like Arya well into the last book (if ever). In ADWD, she makes only subtle changes to her own face during her training and assignment. So does this mean that Maisie will continue to play Arya, only in a new getup? Or they are going to recast her?
Le Cygne
No!!!! They can just age her up and use makeup. Maisie Williams is Arya. They can't have anyone else playing her. Also, she's not going to stay in Braavos for long, I don't think. She'll come back.

Le Cygne
As Arya! Wishful thinking on my part, no doubt, but I was thinking about this interview: So when you had first introduced Arya, you knew she was going to become an assassin? Well she's not an assassin yet. You are assuming she is going to become one. She's an apprentice. http://observationdeck.io9.com/george-r-r-martin-the-complete-unedited-interview-886117845
Le Cygne
So here's another thought, if they make face changing only about glamors (the way Jaqen changes his face), then as an apprentice, she doesn't know how to do glamors yet. Kindly Man said it takes years to do learn to do glamors like Jaqen. So she doesn't face change. And then she comes back.
King of the Road
They might get someone else for a few scenes, I expect that. But regardless of the books, Maisie Williams will continue to play the majority of Arya's episodes, I doubt it would work to change one of the most popular and recognisable actresses in the series. HBO would surely see that it might upset the large majority of the viewers who like Arya.
Lionblood rider
Maisie Williams looks very young for her age and that doesn't look like it's going to change for a while, so hopefully that won't be necessary. She's a 'face' of the series and brings a lot of heart to the show; it's be hard to find a replacement as talented.
Sans A Stark in Winterfell
She won't wear another face 24/7.
titanx5
No, correct me if im wrong but I think Maisie has at least the 3rd most screen time in the show, and recasting Arya the viewers would be really confused
Winds of Winter blow cold
To many people like Maisie, a recast won't happen!

This. They'll just show "Arya" from someone else's perspective, and it will look like another girl (or woman). But normally, we will still see the same Arya. Or they are going to recast her? Are you getting this mixed up the FM story that involves Arya? If so , I keep pointing out to people if you read closely that section in the catacombs of the House of Black and White it is hard to tell what George is trying to tell us, on one hand Arya detects that her face has NOT changed, but to others she looks like someone else... anyway at the end of the chapter the FM give her her name-day face back. If you mean because Maise is aging and will so look more like a young woman... by season 6 for sure... I am all for going with that since it was what George intended to do in the first place. One thing about it Sophie Turner has not looked like even a teenager , even in season 1, and will soon be 18... just letting the HBO story ride with the aging of the children is just fine with me. Winds of Winter blow cold
I think they will have to do a soap opera style age up for the kids anyway. (Maisie, Sophie & Issac.) For story purposes & to obey British law the characters will have to be older.
Lady Gwynhyfvar
Maisie will be 17 this spring. She's already a young woman and isn't going to change so much in the next few years that she can't keep doing what she's already been doing, which is play a character younger than she is irl with talent and style.
