Small Questions v 10024

Was it ever confirmed, through SSM or the app, that was Joffrey who indeed tried to have Bran killed?

It's confirmed in the App.

So I have this small question. I'm sorry if it is common knowledge (and I really think it is). I have been re-reading Dance and just read the Manderly-Davos chapter. And my question is, how do we know, that Rickon is on Skagos? It is not mentioned anywhere there dircetly. Is it in any other chapter or do we just know that it is Skagos because of the cannibalism comment made by Davos?

According to the App:

Wex Pyke, Theon's squire, had been hidden in the godswood during the slaughter and chooses to follow Osha and Rickon instead of his master. He follows them long enough to learn that Osha's intention is to take Rickon to safety on Skagos. He eventually falls into the hands of Lord Manderly, and by teaching him letters and questioning him, Lord Manderly learns what Wex saw. Desiring Rickon to be returned and protected by loyal northmen, LM has Ser Davos Seaworth command a ship to Skagos to retrieve the boy in return for White Harbor's fealty to King Stannis.

Why did Melisandre glamor Mance? She kept it a secret from Stannis and would've continued to keep it secret from Jon Snow had he not refused to allow "Rattleshirt/glammored Mance" to go south and retrieve Arya from the Boltons. So why keep Mance alive? His "king's blood?" If so, why not treat him more of a captive instead of giving him the free will to do whatever he wants via Rattleshirt's body?

That's one of those things that we don't have a solid answer for, there are theories though.

Two questions: first- my PC wont let me quote anybody, why is this so? is it a browser setting or a forum user setting?

Second-

How many Ironborn did Tycho Nestoris bring to Stannis?

First check the bottom of your page, if it has a Full Version link then you need to click it, otherwise you are using the mobile board.

Second according to the APP:

He choses to ransom a number of Ironmen from Lady Glover-including Tristifer Botley and Qarl the Maid- who will escort him to Stannis. When he finally comes across Stannis's army snow-bound in a crofter's village near Winterfell, he brings an additional gift, since Theon and "Arya" have fallen into his hands on the way.

I just finished the Dunk & Egg novellas and want to discuss them, read theories and so on. Tried searching a bit, but didn't really come up with anything great. Anyone feel like pointing me in the right direction, thread-wise?

I've done a couple of them HERE and HERE

But feel free to start a new one, they generally go over pretty well on here, and I am always up for talking about them. :D

Is there anything in the app that indicates when Oberyn claimed Obara, Nymeria, Tyene and Sarella? (How old the girls were, or in which order, or which big events had already happened etc)?

No dates or anything just:

"He has nine bastard daughters known as the Sand Snakes, whom he fearlessly claims and raises."

So I assume that means he never denied any of them at any point.

To be more specific, I think there were 8/9 Ironborn, 1 less than survived Deepwood because he died of his wounds.

Also, you can quote on the mobile version, you just can't multiquote

Exactly, but in order to do that, you have to click on the post (at least I have to) in order to make the quote button (and the edit button if it's your own post) appear. Then you can click on quote (or edit).

Nine daughters?

Where did the extra daughter come from? :P

Typo, they say nine but at the top of the little article it only has the eight listed, hopefully my new computer will be here within a week or so and I will be able to leave it open with Firefox running at the same time. :bang:

Maybe I should have just bought a new phone. :)

What is Randyll Tarly rebuilding in Maidenpool?

And does anyone know where Whitewalls is located on the map? The wiki says it is between King's Landing and Maidenpool. Do you think it would be close to Duskendale?

I have a map that shows it on the south shore of God's Eye, so roughly similar latitude to Duskendale but many leagues west.
