I don't know if I'm just getting old, but the whole printed short sleeve button down "straight out of a Graham Greene novel" is really appealing to me right now.

Two of my newest acquisitions:

http://www.mltd.com/m/lrg-hawaiian-safari-button-up-shirt--pr-65468.html

And next up in my sights:

And another navy o e with little buoys and shark fins, but I can seem to find an image...

Those shirts are fantastic. I adore the lobster/crawdaddy shirt.

Not too blingy, because the pants are enough.

What's this "too blingy" you speak of? Unless it's setting off Red Alert on the Bling-o-Meter, NOTHING is too blingy. :P

Now, at this age, is the only time these shirts SHOULD be worn. Enjoy!

Ninja, as often happens, your link led me to clicking on another and another.

Tips for photographing well: (as in, you're being photographed)

http://www.dailymakeover.com/trends/makeup/how-to-be-photogenic/?utm_source=zergnet.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=zergnet_116804

I've got to try some of these. I always freeze up and look phony as hell when my picture's taken.

I have booked marked this. My husband should also read it (as the photographer of me, when not selfies)

Oh yes!

Okay - here are the pants.

I'm thinking rough linen or something similar with boots - I cannot pay 300 bucks for a leather tshirt right now. I've bought too many boots lately.

I know. :blushing:

I love those!

Had some black and gold velvet cut outs like them that I wore with a gold sparkly tunic (and a big 60's type medallion necklace)

Love those trousers.

I wore a new frock today -- this one, but in black. I already have it in black with white dots, and it is so damned flattering that I am going to buy it in every color they make. Wore it with my bright red wedge sandals and sterling silver octopi dangly earrings...because all of the VPs were in the office today and I wanted to, you know, look professional with cephalopod earrings, a hussy dress, and a bunch of tattoos.

Oh, that is very lovely!

Nice!

And I love that sweater!! Type of thing my daughter would steal from me!

This thread always makes me spend too much time at mod cloth

I have to have this dress! I have to!!!!!!

eta: not that I can think of a single place to wear it, but that doesn't matter!)

A friend recently 'sold' me a fleece jacket with a high collar that I've fallen in love with. It combines making me not look like a hideous murdering-monster, while also covering my arms so I'm comfortable.

I don't know if that counts, but I'm very hyper. And Lany, that dress is delightful. A bit on the... immature side, but I like it. :)

Blew a bunch more money on black milk this week and got the first of it yesterday. This dark red wine long sleeve lace dress. Zero chance of me wearing it out into the world without a slip or another dress under it any time soon but it's pretty :p

Kind of want to post a photo but I didn't have said slip when I tried it on so the photo is a tad revealing >_<

Lany, that dress is gorgeous!

(You'll laugh, I was looking at earrings yesterday - peacock ones!)

That dress is cute as hell.

Today, I wore pleather leggings and a handmade (not by me) colorblock jersey tunic I bought on Etsy. and my combat boots. Did I mention that I only wore mascara and specifically did not do my hair? Because I thought all of my meetings were phone meetings. And then I got dragged into a Big Meeting with the CEO. He wasn't even supposed to be in the office today.

Well, my tattoos were covered and my jewelry looked tasteful (my necklace is ivory scrimshaw of an E. coli bacterium, my spirit animal, so not tasteful), but dear gods. Skintight pleather and combat boots. I hope my other colleagues appreciate the path I am blazing...

I snorted over X-Ray work wear.

I did the same thing this week. We've had rain for a week straight and I just wasn't in the mood. Weds. was another rainy day, so I just dressed for it. Wore my combat boots over my jeans with a big white shirt and my hair sticking out everywhere. I looked like a 90's kid but it was the best I could do.

No pleather leggings, though. :)
