AzureOwl
Political map of the Known World. "Golden Empire of Yi Ti", my arse :) The Seven Kingdoms are quite a bit bigger.I think a change on the Asshai region might be in order. Now we know that most of the Shadowlands are uninhabited. For all intents and purposes Asshai is a city-state without much in the way of hinterland, since all foodstuffs need to be imported by sea. As for Yi Ti's claim to the title of Golden Empire, considering its heavy urbanization, culture and wealth may mean they have a point. Specially in the days when they ruled Leng and Moraq. Ser Lepus
Political map of the Known World. "Golden Empire of Yi Ti", my arse :) The Seven Kingdoms are quite a bit bigger. How is that relevant? It wasn't unusual in our own history for Empires to coexist with Kingdoms that were bigger than them. Philip II of Spain's kingdoms were more extensive than his uncle's Emperor Ferdinand I of the Holy Empire.
