Tyrion + Tysha = Podrick

1. Podrick is awesome and I can't help thinking there is more to him than we know so far.

2. He is about the right age. Shy like Tysha.

3. It is entirely plausible Jamie, out of guilt, might have found a safe place for Tysha after the gang rape with a minor member of house Payne. Alternately, but less plausibly, Tywin might have ordered the Payne in question to take her in.

4. This would explain why Tywin was unwilling to execute Podrick for his crimes. Being from house Payne (the reason given to Tyrion) would not be enough. Being Tyrion's son would make him kin.

5. It would help explain Podrick's absolutely heroic dedication to Tyrion.

Yep, Pod had "absolutely heroic devotion to Tyrion" Is why he buggered off after Brienne..

yes it is. He doesn't have a clue where Tyrion went and thinks he will find him again if he finds Sansa. So yes, that is absolutely an example of his rather incredible level of dedication.

why?

Because that is how a red herring is used, or else it really isn't a red herring.

You can think Gerion is the father all you want though, just don't say she is a red herring for being Tyrion's.

As for this speculation, sorry but no. There is no indication that Tywin, Jaime, or the Paynes would do this.

Fair point.

Still, that can be attributed to the fact that Tyrion is the only real father figure of any sort that Pod had.

If the thing that is to be obscured is more obvious than the distraction, it isn't much of a distraction.

so you think Podrick is obvious? Others on this thread were saying it can't be true because if it were then MORE hints would have been dropped.

Podrick's backstory is fleshed out enough that I don't see much room for this. Unless Tysha was somehow able to arrange for the Payne's to adopt her bastard son. Which strikes me as unlikely to say the least.
