Anatúrinbor
He doesn't need them to know, all he needs is for Kellhus to bring the Great Ordeal to Golgotterath while Mimara is there and everything will fall into place per the Thousandfold Thought. That's the false prophecy that Aurang talked about, or the one he considers false.

Anatúrinbor
And where are you getting all of that from? Seswatha wants to use the No-God for his own purposes, which is to say that he wants to end damnation, but not by exterminating everyone as the Consult is hoping to do. Mimara's Judging Eye will provide the answer to the No-God's questions. For some reason Seswatha seems to think that that will end damnation. Aurang doesn't agree with him though, what he meant by the false prophecies must be come true as well is "well, I don't think it will work but we might as well try it". Diziet
Mimara's Judging Eye will provide the answer to the No-God's questions. It's a wild guess for me but I think that this is actually where things are going, but I don't see how it will end damnation. what he meant by the false prophecies must be come true as well is "well, I don't think it will work but we might as well try it". Heh.
Diziet
What's the other group of human sorcerers that knows the Gnosis besides the Mandate at the time of the Prince of Nothing? I saw a post by Bakker saying that.

Diziet
Whoops. Oh yes, thanks. The Consult.
SilentRoamer
IIRC - The Consult magi were called The Mengeacca - one of the sorcerous schools at the time. Known for its spy network and for Sheonannras subtle intelligence.
Anatúrinbor
Any info on whether the Aporetic sorcerers who built the Chorae for the Inchies are with the Consult now?
SilentRoamer
Interesting question. The Nonman-Inchoroi wars wiped out almost all of the Inchoroi and their nonmen allies. However we know of other Nonmen to survive the intervening period so assuming some Aporetic Nonmen mages survived does not seem too unreasonable. Possible some surviving knowledge at Ishterebinth? I think Bakker has stated that the Aporos is a dead branch of sorcery on the old 3Cs. I think we will have to wait until TUC but I am hoping for more info on the Aporos. sologdin
the next appendix should have detailed presentations of the utteral/inutteral strings for all known cants so we can practice the gnosis for homework.
Larry of the Lawn
Beware! Don't read that appendix! It's likely a solo and Bakker joint endeavor to create a bunch of sorcerors vulnerable to the Chorae Horde solo just bought for pennies on eBay. He needs a viable threat to exist in order to unload them all at 5 times what he paid for them.
SilentRoamer
the next appendix should have detailed presentations of the utteral/inutteral strings for all known cants so we can practice the gnosis for homework. I see something like this: SilentRoamers Wife: "Hubby you didnt take the bins out again and now that you haven't they're going to be full..." SilentRoamer: Opens his mouth and Sings - Odanni Concussion Cant blasts SRWife from her feet. "What you saying wife... nothing? Thought not..." SilentRoamer - 1, SilentRoamers Wife - 0 Muhahaha SilentRoamer: "Come and give me a cuddle" SilentRoamers Wife: "I have a headache..." SilentRoamer: Opens his mouth and Sings - Compulsion Cant SilentRoamers Wife: "...my headache is gone and damn do I feel horny! Time for a big cuddle..." SilentRoamer - 2, SilentRoamers Wife - 0 (Although she may consider this a 1 - see how she feels when the compulsion fades!) Muhahahaha
Rhom
A big thumbs up to the fact that there are currently four Bakker threads on the first page. Now if only someone would start a thread asking what order to read Abercrombie, all the preconceived notions about this Westeros subforum will be fulfilled...

Kalbear
Don't read disciple or neuropath unless you absolutely love Bakker and his online persona.
