Yes there are usurpers, banished country men, incest, passed around brides, mad kings, and many other elements of European history but none of the historical figures fit too closely to ASoIaF. Like the author of that video says, 'We enjoy Westeros because of its familiarity,' but It's still original and fictional with no actual history quite mirroring it.
