chasing the dragons Posted May 22, 2014 Share Posted May 22, 2014 We all know GRRM likes to "Toy with our emotions" (credit that quote to big worm from the movie "Friday")Anyway, he likes to mix things up and I believe there's more to come. Could "evil" win out over "good" Westeros is in shambles from the wars and Dany isn't any closer to getting to Westeros. My opinions change daily but how would you feel if the WW won? What if that book title is telling us that spring will be only a dream. The WW have taken over, the iron throne is no more. The dream refers to those in hiding, waiting, hoping. To me their recent move seems like one of desperation, and it also seems to me they don't have near the numbers they did the first time. Someone had a great topic detailing that the others may never have even been defeated, that they left of their own volition due to the seasons changing or perhaps another war in the deep deep north or something. I think this is a lot more likely than the Last Hero story I reckon if the WW 'win' the first thing to go is the north So no, most of us will not be happy at all or even able to accept it.
