nastydream
I mean we seem to think that Maggy the frog prophecy will turn out true,or the Ptwp prophecy to be true I mean we are arguing about who is the ptwp and not if it is to be trusted.Unless in asoiaf we are meant to take prophecies as things that will certainly happen. armidil0
Words are wind. But prophesy is a special take. Whether you believe in them or not does not matter, as long as the characters do, they might self fulfill the prophecy.
mb2518
Sort of. They come true in ways you don't expect.
Lady Blizzardborn
What Maggy said was a fortune, not a prophecy. However, we have seen elements of it come true, mostly do to Cersei's own actions. As to the prophecies, GRRM has said we should pay less attention to them and more to Old Nan's stories. That would be easier if we could get Old Nan to finish some of those stories.
