Not to rumor-monger, but there's speculation that she's been entirely cut, as has Quentyn. In the press descriptions of the characters for the new cast, they're describing Trystane Martell as the "heir to Dorne."

Oh, wow. I figured Quentyn could just be locale; show up later on in Essos. But scrubbing both?

There's precedent for Prologue POVs to have been seen before (like Chett and Varamyr), but generally they're "lesser" characters. I don't think Jeyne's going to be the POV, or Edmure or Roslin or anyone of some import. It may be a maester or a random soldier or something to that effect. It does suggest that the setting might be Casterly Rock, dovetailing with another pattern of prologues set in the even books, i.e. they're set in the south in an as-yet-unseen location.

ETA: I also have to wonder if WoW isn't further along than has been suggested so far. It seems like a pretty specific description.

I fully support a Sybell Westerling POV if it means she bites it. This won't necessarily prolong Jeyne's life but it at least would be satisfying in a way.

As to the promise of a Casterly Rock POV: Tyrion (if he lives long enough) will lead Dany's forces into CR through the sewers.

I had the same thought. Then I crushed it because it will only lead to sadness later...

Seems to be the case. Obviously we can't say anything's confirmed, but unless they're moving around birth orders for Doran's ilk, that's what it looks like.

No word on Vic, Euron, Or Aeron either

Honestly I suspect they're doing away with the Ironborn storyline altogether (but that's neither here nor there).

I hope not! Vic is a beast and Euron is so crazy it's funny

I'm guessing that Jeyne Westerling just pops up in the prologue, and I am now hoping it is Sybil that is the actual POV. I do need Mommie Dearest to die a horrible death so hopefully the prologue is a bit long in the tooth, LOL

Yup, I'm still sticking to my guess of either very late this year or first quarter-half of 2015, just waiting is hard I need my Sansa fix :bang:

Jeyne IS a lesser character IMO, I'd say she at the same level than Varamyr.

As for the bold part, may the old gods and the new hear you. But it is always better to have our expectations low. In the best case scenario we all get a nice surprise :)

I don't know if it was mentioned but Jeyne was not going to Casterly Rock she was going to the Crag to be with her father. She is with Forley Prester who is escorting her he has been in 4 books. Her brother Raynald jumped into the river during the Red Wedding after freeing Grey Wind and is presumed dead but nobody ever found his body.

Eh, disagree. She may not be important on her own, but I'd argue that her specific place in the plot is more important than Varamyr's.

Maybe, I'm not saying she's not important, but whatever happens there, I believe Edmure is the one who really matters from that group of people (they're traveling togheter) :dunno:

That's Obara? Doran is a bit thinner but the actors decent so I am ok with that. I was hoping for Ian McShane but the part is probably to small for him.

Yeah, i had Siddig down as a Red Viper candidate, have liked him for a while.

I love McShane, but no role jumps out at me for him; either too small or not a great fit. I hoped McKidd would be JonCon, but doesn't look like that's happening. Lastly, I hope Martin Czokas makes an appearance. Basically I seem to have recast Kingdom of Heaven.

I think CR would be en route.
