Also interesting is how Yellow Emperor is half-legendary figure from ancient Chinese history. Indeed (and in the Fitz and Fool book, and presumably the other ones that are in the works). Bought the e-book the day it came out, and then I happened to be in town a few weeks after I had read it and saw how gorgeous the hardback edition was...so I bought it :p Really enjoyed it, if you haven't got around to reading it yet, you should (its another slow burner, but if you don't expect that at book 14 then you aren't paying attention ;) ) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
The Prince of Magpies Posted November 4, 2014 Share Posted November 4, 2014 The section on the Stormlands mentions a King Baldric the Cunning, which is surely a reference to Baldrick of Blackadder fame and his 'cunning plans.' There was a house whose arms were a "black adder" mentioned in passing in the main series. It's one of my favourite shows; delighted George is a fan too.
