Ramsay's Penguins
Targaryen Kings. Ancient History was... archaic. Damn you runes. And the Seven Kingdoms were lacking detail in places.Beyond the Seven Kingdoms was fascinating, but so unknownnnn I love ittttt. Faint
Targaryen Kings. The other sections are nowhere near as developed.
David Selig
Targaryen Kings. The other sections are nowhere near as developed. This. Plus it was by far the most interesting topic for me anyway. I couldn't care less about random cities and countries at the far end of Essos or what's going on in the jungles of Sothoryos. Mithras
Even the underdeveloped version of 7K history is better than the Targs IMO.
Faint
Most of this comes down to Martin himself and what he is interested in developing. I heard a podcast with Elio and Linda in which they expressed how surprised they were when Martin delivered so much material on the Targaryens, the Iron Islands, and the Andal conquest of the Vale, whereas he wrote comparatively little about the Starks and Lannisters. Dany's Golden Fleece
Even the underdeveloped version of 7K history is better than the Targs IMO. I disagree, I struggled through the 7K history to be honest. Least interesting part of the book.
BearQueen87
I disagree, I struggled through the 7K history to be honest. Least interesting part of the book. So did I. Parts of it, at least. I can barely recall anything from the Stormlands section, though the Reach was fascinating.
Dofs
I disagree, I struggled through the 7K history to be honest. Least interesting part of the book. Well, I personally struggled through Targ kings. They just went on and on and on. Although I am biased in this as Targaryen is one of my least favourite houses.

MaesterMan
Targaryen Kings--most detailed and thorough.I did like the discussion of the Baratheons and the discussion of the Free Cities.I was most disappointed about the lack of detail about the Starks. Dimples
Beyond the Sunset Kingdom. The Targaryen Kings is a close second, though.

Rhaenys Targaryen III
Tough choice, but Targ Kings. Talk about bad luck, the Seven/the Old Gods/Rhilor must really suck at flipping coins.

stangles
I liked the Targaryen Kings and the Sunset Kingdoms. The Seven kingdoms part was the most boring.
