iiandyiiii
I did some blatant self-promotion by starting a thread... in case that's frowned upon, here's some blatant self-promotion in the properly labeled thread. Buy my book here (also on Smashwords)! It's fantasy satire/homage/loveletter to GRRM, his books and TV show, and internet fandom. It's a lot of fun! henderson
Haven't seen this thread until now. Glad for the opportunity to blatantly self-promote Hondus Pointe, my first fantasy novella. It has been live for about a month at Amazon. Please follow the link: amazon.com/author/rdhenderson.
YordanZh
He fellas! My name is Yordan and I'm a fantasy writer from Bulgaria. My first book is a fantasy novel called "When they Shine Brightest" (website: http://yzfantasy.com/). At the moment the book is being published in my country by a big publishing house but I also decided to get it translated into English and try self-publishing online. I know it's something very common in the west, but here everyone's still looking at me as if I've just lost my mind. :P At the moment the translation is almost done and by a professional translator with native English too. I'm also in the midst of a crowdfunding campaign for the costs of the translation, which you can find here: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/when-they-shine-brightest-a-fantasy-novel I've talked with a lot of English-speaking people in various forums in Goodreads, G+ and LinkedIn and everyone says that the whole "English-speakers (and Americans in particular) don't like reading foreign lit" is a myth and they're actually looking for it but not much foreign lit is being adequately published. So I decided to not only translate and self-publish it but to also make the crowdfunding campaign bilingual and in an international CF platform. So far it's going pretty great with close to $1700 gathered, which - I think - is pretty good for a young, foreign author with basically zero following behind him.Anyway, I think I should probably wrap this up. Hope you check the website and the campaign and like them at least a bit. Since the campaign is meant for two markets its perks are quite cheap compared to other book campaigns focused on the western market only. If you're curious, you can also find me on some other places like:https://www.facebook.com/Yordan.Zhelyazkov.Authorhttps://www.goodreads.com/book/show/23595400-when-they-shine-brightestand others through my website. Cheers!YZ

YordanZh
Hi fellas!Last spam from me on this subject since the crowdfunding campaign for “When They Shine Brightest” is days from its end, with $2220 of $2500 already gathered! Thanks to those who took part in it and making it a success – I really appreciate it! If someone else wants to join the campaign – now’s the time! https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/when-they-shine-brightest-a-fantasy-novel/Cheers! YordanZh
Quick update: The campaign reached 102% already and there are 16 hours remaining to its end. So since I only plan to self-publish "When They Shine Brightest" in English in digital form, those 16 hours are your last chance for a - literally - unique, autographed paperback/hardcover. ;) The book's getting traditionally published by a big publishing house in Bulgaria, but only in Bulgarian - there won't be more paper copies of it in English. Dillinger
Released my first book a couple of months ago, reaction to date has been very positive so figured some folks here might check it out. It's all about growing up in Scotland in the 1990s, though what's been pleasing for me is how many folk have commented that many of the stories rang true for them despite growing up in England, or Ireland, or the 70s... For fans of Irvine Welsh, Billy Connolly, Frankie Boyle, Kevin Bridges, Chris Brookmyre, etc. It's available from Amazon at http://tinyurl.com/pfg3t7nand there's also a Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/KERBYbook Please let me know if you do check it out, would be much obliged :)
Spockydog
I'll definitely check this out. Having grown up in East Glasgow during the seventies, I've got many a fond memory of playing kerby in the street outside my gran's house. Our games were often interrupted by the crazed, three-legged dog from across the street who would relentlessly chase any cars that dared come down the street. Happy days. C.T. Phipps
Much appreciated for the opportunity to blatantly self-promote. The Rules of Supervillainy as published by Amber Cove (Confessions of a D-List Supervillain, Prime Suspects, and Dead Eye) just came out today. My next book, Esoterrorism, will be published by Ragnarok Publications (The Ties That Bind, GnomeSaga, Valducen) and will be coming out in just a month. Spockydog
Sailor to a Siren is now available for pre-order in ebook format - links to Kobo, GooglePlay and Amazon in thirteen countries (including the US and UK) are at the bottom of this page. Release date 17th July... Pre-ordered. I read the blurb on Goodreads and I have to say, it sounds like enormous fun. When Connor and Logan Cardwain, a gangster's lieutenants, steal a shipment of high-grade narcotics on the orders of their boss, Connor dreams of diverting the profits and setting up in business for himself. His plans encounter a hurdle in the form of Eloise Falaviere, Logan's former girlfriend, who has been hired by an interplanetary police force's vice squad. Logan wants a family; Eloise wants to stop the drugs shipment from being sent to her home planet; Connor wants to gain independence without angering his boss. All of their plans are derailed, though, when they discover that the shipment was hiding a much deadlier secret - the prototype of a tiny superweapon powerful enough to destabilise galactic peace. Crime lords, corrupt officials and interstellar magicians soon begin pursuing them, and Connor, Logan and Eloise realise they have to identify and confront the superweapon's smuggler in order to survive. But, when one by one their friends begin to betray them, their self-imposed mission transforms from difficult to near-impossible.
