arya_underfoot
He's a pretty good ODI batsman. He hasn't looked like he's been batting particularly well but has managed to get an almost run-a-ball century. Wicket-maiden for Starc as I type this. Looks like it'll be a 250-260 rather than a 300 chase.
Consigliere
AB has just smacked the fastest fifty in ODI cricket (51 off 16 balls). ETA. Make that the fastest hundred (104 off 31 balls). What a player!

ljkeane
De Villiers out for 149 from 44 deliveries. I'd say that's squarely in the realm of unbelievable. Incredible.
Consigliere
That was an unbelievable innings by de Villiers. Amla and Rossouw played magnificently as well but their innings has been overshadowed a bit. Unfortunately we fell just short of the highest score in ODI cricket. Looking forward to the WI innings, especially Chris Gayle. Perfect batting wicket, fast outfield and small boundaries. A batsmens wet dream. Hereward
Bah, it's not right. Proper cricket is about blockers. I love blockers. You never feel you're missing anything when you go off to get drinks.
Xray the Enforcer
Considering how often we got up to get drinks in Durham, you might be onto something my friend. ;)
Stubby
I see Bailey has been suspended for his slow over rate in the last one-dayer. Self-inflicted, IMO.
ljkeane
A surprisingly comprehensive victory for England this morning. Really good bowling performance, although India didn't help themselves, if Finn can keep this up, and maybe pick up his pace a bit, they're bowling attack suddenly looks a lot better in Australian conditions. They could probably still do with Broad picking up a few wickets pre World Cup though and I'm not sure they can consistently rely on Ali to get through 10 overs so they'll need Bopara to get a few overs under his belt. The Anti-Targ
Woah! Fantastic comeback by New Zealand in the ODI vs Sri Lanka. 93/5 and looking like putting in a losing performance. Ends the 50 overs settng Sri Lanka a target of 361 to win. Brilliant 170 not out by Luke Ronchi, highest ever ODI innings for a NZ wicketkeeper. Grant Elliott chimes in with a great, but overshadowed, 104 not out. Obviously it's a very good batting strip and Sri Lanka have some batsmen who can threaten that score. But at least Sri Lanka has to bat exceedingly well to get there. And it's a psychologically daunting task.

The Anti-Targ
The Anti-Targ, on 23 Jan 2015 - 2:49 PM, said: Fixed that for you. :P Re-fixed. :cool4: Worringly Sri Lanka is now on 93/0 off 18 overs. 360 still a long way off, but not looking so insurmountable as one would expect. What's the highest ever international ODI run chase ever achieved? New Zealand is quite good at being on the wrong end of those sorts of records. ... Make that 93/1 first over after drinks. The Anti-Targ
Wow that's a huge run chase. Oh well it's all over with Sri Lanka only managing 252 all out in the 44th over. Nicely done lads.
Consigliere
That was a perfectly paced run chase by Australia. It got a bit tighter than it should have been towards the end but the Aussies were always well in control. Steve Smith looks unstoppable at the moment. His timing and placement is flawless. A joy to watch. Just caught the highlights of the NZ/SL game. That was a magnificent partnership between Ronchi and Elliot, especially considering NZ were 98/5 when they came together. England didn't bowl spectacularly well but they didn't bowl too badly either, picking up six an over was fairly straight forward for the batsmen. What let England down was the end of their innings, they should have easily had 330 plus but they let it slip with some poor batting from their lower middle order, plus some good bowling from Australia. Was not able to watch the England innings. I agree with the bolded though. Looking at the game stats, England scoring 59 runs for six wickets in the last 10 overs is really not good enough considering the position they were in. DJDonegal
Mohammad Amir's ban has ended just over 7 months early. I'm OK with that. He was young, it was stupid, but hopefully he can come back now. He's still young and with the promise he showed before, he could be great. But almost 4 and a half years out at such a formative time in your career could be irreparably damaging. EB: Spelling mistake.
ljkeane
Yeah, I don't have a problem with that. He was clearly in a bad position as a youngster and he made a bad decision. He's served a significant punishment so hopefully he can now come back to cricket successfully. Which fantasy cricket league did we use last time for the World Cup? There's the Cricinfo or ICC leagues we could use this time.
