One and half a dozen makes seven. And seven save us all, whenever in the series a noblemen rides out with half a dozen companions, he is setting out to steal a girl.

Seven is what I thought but after reading some other posts in a topic already forgotten...it made me want a second opinion.

When Theodan Wells meets Cersei at the beginning of he walk of atonement he suggests Cersei might remember him. Do we have any idea where they might have met?

“His High Holiness has been expecting you. I am Ser Theodan the True, formerly Ser Theodan Wells. If Your Grace will come with me.” - AFfC p. 648

Their captain knelt before her. “Perhaps Your Grace will recall me. I am Ser Theodan the True, and His High Holiness has given me command of your escort. My brothers and I will see you safely through the city.” - ADwD p. 851

ETA: Theodan is probably just being being passive-aggressive with politeness.

Oh yeah... duh...

Ok here's another one that I think comes up every so often... In the epilogue to Dance Kevan suggests that Aerys did not ask Tywin to return as Hand. But doesn't Jaime or somebody else earlier tell us that Aerys asked for Tywin's help? Maybe he was just demanding that Tywin marshal his strength against the rebellion?

i think tywin just showed up at Kings Landing unnanounced, and Aerys just assumed he was there to help, since he had Jaime.

Has anybody else noticed at the beginning of A Game of Thrones, in Jon's very first chapter, he observes the procession in to dinner: Ned with Cersei, Robert with Catelyn, Rickon by himself, Robb with Myrcella, Arya with Tommen, Sansa with Joffrey, and finally Jaime and Tyrion.

Where is Bran?? Do you think there is a significance to his absence, or just a mistake? I can't imagine that George RR Martin would put such detail into the procession and all of the characters, and then accidentally forget one (especially a POV character).

This one gets asked a lot. The George confirmed in an SSM somewhere that Bran was at the feast and that Jon simply neglected to note him. Bran does recall being at the feast.
