Crow's eye in the sky
''Strip away the gold, knock down the statue, and this is what remains'' Is this kind a metaphor or something? English is not my first language, so I'd be appreciated if you could help me out what exactly High Sparrow meant for saying these words? He is refering to the gilded nature of King's Landing. Underneath the outer shiny layer, is some pretty foul stuff.
The Egg
Is that a lemon tree in the background at 0.29? PS. Hiy'all.Hi Timm, welcome! ;) Jaime may be seduced though, to further the gap between him and Cersei, for tv purposes.Interesting question is, will someone lose their head to Aero Hotah and will it be Bronn? It won't be Jaime, for sure.I really hope they won't let him be seduced. The whole Brienne thing would be meaningless, it would turn his anger for Cersei from a broken heart, a true love betrayed, to an excuse to have sex while away from her.... they screwed up things enough with Jamie and Cersei in S4, I'd gladly see a thousand Miss+Worm sex scenes rather than one with Jaime. 1. Agree. Book aegon is going to be Quentyn II. I don't think the show has enough time for Varys to be playing a double game regarding Dany and Aegon. He's out in the show and that means he's not playing a significant role in the book. I am sad. 2. I guess, I never found Sansa leading an army as likely, it seems so out of character, but if it means LSH has a bigger role in the books that they have given to Sansa, I'm all for it, I am 100% Team Stoneheart. 3. No idea. I hate the Martell family and am surprised they're doing so much w/Dorne. It could be turning Trysane into Aegon, but that would be strange. I guess Brienne will run around with Pod and crack jokes and get into fights until finally getting captured at the end of the season.1- Same here. I didn't like him, neither as a Targ nor as a Blackfyre, but I thought he could have done something cool with Westeros. 2- Sansa won't be leading any army on her own, but she might be the one who has to decide, if she marries Sweetrobin (or Harry the Heir, if he ever makes it to the series)3- Dorne is extremely cool for TV (especially HBO) purposes: sex, violence, badass women and intrigue.... everything D&D need to make an awesome season, without the need for hours of fillers of Cersei/Marge in King's Landing and Brienne in the Riverlands! Even if they aren't going to do anything important with Dorne, I'm happy they put it in the show.As for Brienne.... I really don't know, I hope she won't have much screentime unless she actually has something to do Yet It is rather early to say it is non-canon when we haven't read WOW. Sansa has very little left to do in AFFC/ADWD. It would hardly be surprising if they moved into her future storyline. Fingers crossed for this season. They have cut out the right storylines IMO (except Manderly) but in terms of writing this will be their greatest challenge as so much will need to be changed or invented.I agree for the last part, unless they make the Winterfell Wedding boring (Manderly was great fun, I hope they can make Frey Pie in the show too) and they cut the entire Oldtown plotline: I can't be sure it'll be important in the books, but it was the most interesting "purely fantasy" plotline, for me.Discussing Sansa, I can't be sure it'll be non-canon, but I can't see Sansa playing such an important role as to avenge someone in first person in her near future... I believe she'd be much more important in the show than in the books, at least at first. Regarding Marge, I think she could be gripping anyone from Cersei to Tommen to a gold cloak. It appears someone just broke the news about Loras getting arrested and it's broken her. Also, I believe that Mance is just going to get burned, without a switcheroo. Rattleshirt is at Hardhome, and Tormund is at CB (and much more popular a character).I'm also not unhappy at all that they're deviating from the books. This means I can watch the show, and then read the books in x number of years without being spoiled. Not sure about Mance, probably the switcheroo thing is too complex for the TV show, and after all they don't really need him.... I guess we have to see how close to the books will Melisandre's words be, before we can realy make predictions.Marge, anyway, won't be having a great time in this season... in AFFC/ADWD we saw her role in Cersei's eyes, but she'll have a lot of problems with her brother almost dead, her family possibly accused of Joffrey's or Tywin's deaths (why not, with Cersei on the IT?) and all the sex she had with other men being discovered... she'll have a lot of reason to be scared, after all...''Strip away the gold, knock down the statue, and this is what remains'' Is this kind a metaphor or something? English is not my first language, so I'd be appreciated if you could help me out what exactly High Sparrow meant for saying these words? Can he be talking about Cersei after (or just before) her Walk of Shame? But I'm not mother tongue either, so maybe I'm missing something... Ruin
I just had a thought... If they're merging Varys and Mophat, perhaps Varys will concede backing Dany during season 5....and in season 6, Varys presents Faegon as a possible husband to Dany along with the Golden Company. Dany takes KL, takes the throne and everyone rejoices....except Varys, who kills Dany with Blackfyre. Faegon is stunned. Varys hands Blackfyre over and says, "Long may Blackfyre reign." Bluetiger
I wander where is ser Arys/ unnamed kingsguard that went with Myrcella to Dorne. We see him in season 2 when Myrcella leaves King's Landing ( moments before start of riot).
~No One~
I thought he may have been talking about the Great Sept when Cersei comes to see him. This was my interpretation as well. Our glimpse of him from the trailer (and in the books, as well) show him as a very humble, unadorned person. Whereas the other HS was gaudy and corrupt. Hodor's Dragon
So, I'm just going to say what everyone's thinking: Sansa nude scene? Sansa nude scene anyone? She's in a tub and I'm pretty sure suds won't be covering up the good stuff. In all seriousness, I think this season will be pretty interesting. Sophie Turner turns 18 in February, so no, but maybe next year.

boojam
Sophie Turner is already 18 and will soon turn 19 I'm pretty sure she has to be portrayed as 16 or older according to a few kiddie porn laws It's probably true there are UK , USA and all developed countries laws about underage actors, but before one gets to those there are guild and actor's union rules that come into play before one gets to those. Labour and Labor laws have dictated work conditions on the show from the beginning. George could use medieval times concepts of social conduct but those cannot be translated to a visual drama in the 21st century.
Brav
People were talking earlier about Thorne - didn't he die in the Wall battle in the TV series? If Marsh isn't around, who does Jon debate with over what to do with the wildings?

Hos the Hostage
I think there will be two pyre scenes at the wall. The one Melisandre lighting could be the same as 0:32, with a tall post in the middle to tie the person being burnt, meaning he/she is being burnt alive. Probably Mance/Rattleshirt. The pyre at 0:58 is a dead man, probably Aemon as Mithras said. There is a battle between wildlings and black brothers at 1:02, immediately after Jon says 'with me!'. Jon is wearing NW clothes, but the next scene cuts to wlidlings facing people clad in black. It could also be battle of Ice, with the black-clad guys being Bolton or Karstark men. King Brandon Ice Eyes
He is refering to the gilded nature of King's Landing. Underneath the outer shiny layer, is some pretty foul stuff. Really liked the line. I was afraid they would simplify the High Sparrow as a mere fundamentalist but it looks like he will portrayed as a guy who has actual important things to say and denounce even though he has some glaring faults. When Melisandre lights the pyre, the people around hold torches (like they do in 0:32). but when we see the man buring amidst the pyre none of those standing close hold torches. (Yes, I'm aware how old he is in the book/show) But his book death was caused by getting sick during the difficult voyage. Will he just "randomly" die at the Wall in the show? An actual natural death?!?!
of man and wolf
So wait...no Boltons, no Reek, no winterfell and North???? Túrin the Turambar
I'm in the dark about Sansa's storyline this season, but King Tommen gave some interesting speculation over at WOTW. The scene with her in the bathtub is the same as the shot of the hand gripping the side, IMO. If you mean 0:42 and 1:40 then I disagree. At 1:40 you see the sleeve of the clothes the person is wearing, while at 0:42 Sansa seems not to wear anything.
