Rhaenys_Targaryen

Small Questions v. 10097

Recommended Posts

Yandel claims that Aerys II after Battle of the Trident, disinherited Rhaegar's children as he belived that prince Lewyn betrayed him

But that's only Yandel's point of view and actually we don't know the truth...

Why wouldn't we believe Yandel?

Why wouldn't we believe Yandel?

The book is written for Robert.

Also, Yandel wasn't there and Pycelle ( as a Lannister supporter ) isn't 100% belivable.

Yandel isn't wrong. But pretty much everything he knows about KL is from letters from Pycelle. Pycelle lies. Or, even if he didn't lie, he could have heard things that weren't exactly true or were only rumours.

So Pycelle lies? What good would that do? Saying that Aegon, who wasnt heir, died a gruesome death.. while it wasn't necessary, because he wasn't heir...?

Why say such a thing unless Viserys was actually named heir?

I wasn't talking exactly about this case, but more about the whole Yandel's testimony. I will never belive 100% in book that is dedicated to Tommen Lannister ;)

There are parts of TWOIAF that are truth mixed with lies to show Lannister - Baratheon as the best.

( Aerys' reign, Targaryens as bunch of madmen and idiots, wealth of Lannisters praised even in Asshai, sack of King's Landing, Aerys' ordering Rhaenys and Aegon killed)
