Xray the Enforcer
Ha, five slips in an ODI. You've got to love McCullum. Yeah, that was a delight. And now Henry on to bowl. Hell of a way to enter a competition, in the SFs.
The Anti-Targ
Yeah, that was a delight. And now Henry on to bowl. Hell of a way to enter a competition, in the SFs. Could be make or break for the young man. Decent first over at least, keeping things tight. Looks like the swing has gone out of the ball now, so tight accurate bowling is what's required now. Force some false, across the line strokes. That's basically what McCullum is demanding with so many in catching positions right now.
Stubby
As an aside, the Sheffield Shield final is heating up. WA have taken 5 wickets in the morning session, and lead by 63 runs going into lunch. With Victoria only needing to get a draw to win the Shield, WA have to go into one-day mode for their second innings. 5 sessions left and it could get interesting. The Anti-Targ
1st power play over with 39 runs and two wickets. That's good for NZ.
The Anti-Targ
2 maidens from Henry. Run rate dropping a bit, will be interesting to see what happens if / when SA starts to feel pressure to force the run rate along.

It's a pity it's taken so long for Voges to hit all these first class centuries- it won't lead to a test callup now. Rain comes to our aid... Seriously bad luck for South Africa. NZ were set for an almighty hammering. Boy will SA be pissed off if rain costs them again. Fawad Ahmed is cementing himself as the second choice test spinner. The Anti-Targ
Please let the rain delay force this into a 40 over game. If SA bats a full 50 overs it will be extremely difficult for NZ to chase down whatever total they put up.
Stubby
I love the comment on cricinfo: New Zealand won't mind this interruption. If overs are lost, surely DLS can't score as fast ABD and FDP?

The Anti-Targ
With 1.5 hrs + rain delay it looks like we might be close to having a 40 over match. The innings break will surely just be a 10 minuter if SA only gets to bat another 2 or 3 overs. Though we are getting close to the time when SA would already have finished their 50 and the innings break would be over with NZ already batting. I assume they allow for a bit of a time extension though. 12 overs would take about 40-45 minutes and then a 40 minute break pretty much means NZ should be out batting at 6:30, and it's 6:30 right now and still no one returned to the field. OK just seen Cric infor say 6:45 restart with a 43 over match. How much damage can Faf and AB do in 5 overs? That could be the match deciding factor. "Southee can bowl two, Henry one. Anderson and friends will have to bowl the remaining two. And only one over of Powerplay left"
Cashless Society
Oh No.Okay, Miller's T20 style play saved SA.
Jeor
Bugger. Really wanted NZ to wrap this innings up with minimal damage but looks like they'll be chasing something pretty huge now, impressive acceleration by the Saffers. If the top order fires, anything is chase-able, but I don't like their chances...
