williamjm
I like Strauss and always have, although with the spectre of KP still hanging over the team perhaps someone further removed from that debacle would have been a better choice. Really it was irresponsible of Graves to raise the KP issue when he did. I agree, I think KP is justified in feeling aggrieved about the mixed messages from the ECB (and if KP has the moral high ground you know somebody has made a bad mistake) but it's not Strauss' fault that those encouraging comments were made several weeks before Strauss was linked with the job. In non-KP news the squad for the first Test has been announced with the only change being Adam Lyth replacing Jonathan Trott (Mark Wood could potentially make a debut as well but I'm not sure how much chance he has of playing). I haven't seen Lyth play before so I'll be interested in seeing how he does, at least they're picking a specialist opener this time which should help a bit. ljkeane
So England lose four quick wickets in the least surprising turn of events ever. I'm going to Lords on Saturday for the first time so hopefully it's not over within two days.
