Great performance by Arsenal. Second place or perhaps even a title challenge is not out of the question. United in a must win game against Villa, considering our next three games are at home to City and away against Chelsea and Everton. Liverpool and Spurs not yet out of the race for champions league places.

Couple of things to comment on last thread (can't quote as it's been closed).

1. Alex; one day for sure! Dalston is my end of town so would have been a good choice.

2. Even more gutted I just missed out on that ticket for today. Once Sturridge was confirmed out and Sterling was up top I was confident we would win but I didn't think we would thump them like that. Pacy strikers we can deal with; it's bullying ones (Drogba, Costa, Carroll) that always seem to get the better of us.

3. My first game was Arsenal v Liverpool at Highbury in 1994. 1-0 win, goal from Merson and I also remember him doing kick-ups during play in his own corner.

Hope Stoke do us a favour later. I want a title decider on 26th April.

I'm not able to watch any games this weekend, but by the sounds of it, Herrera was the business today. He's really starting to grow into the team. And Carrick back to form now that he's finally got protection worth the name in front of him, which is nice.

Just got back from what I have to say was one of the best afternoons of my life. Great atmosphere down there today, the best I can remember in years. And what a brilliant game of football. The wee lad couldn't have asked for a better first game, and reckons he's now a Gooner for life. Only downside came when I tried to get him to have Uncle Pete embossed on the back of his new shirt, but for some reason the little bugger insisted on having Ozil.

We're now settling down in front of the telly to watch Chelsea get mauled by the Uruk Hai. Come on you orcs!!!

Herrera had a very good game. A brace for him today. Young was superb as well. Probably our best player today, or close to it. It looks like LVG has accomplished what Moyes never did i.e. find a formation and comination of players that suits our style of play. The next three games will show exactly how far we have come (I'm looking at performance more than the results).

Three seasons ago, or even last summer, if you'd have told me that Nani would be gone, Valencia would be exiled as a stand-in RB and Young would be one of the star players in an attack where Angel Di Maria is stuck on the bench, I'd have laughed at you. Perhaps LVG's greatest achievement... Even Fergie never managed that.
