Doran's speech and/or Martell-action?

Recommended Posts

I have to admit, I am a huge fan of Doran Martell - I still hope that he is one of

the real players in the Game of Thrones and that his revenge will be awesome.

Because of this episode's title it is obvious that House Martell will play a major role.

But what will happen?

I see following possibilities:

1) His speech for revenge/Fire and Blood

2) He will "tame" the Sandsnakes

3) This may also be the episodes when Jaime arrives and tries/fails to rescue Myrcella.

Who knows?, the way this season is going, all bets are off. Given D&D, we could expect anything. However, it does seem that Myrcella and Tristane seem to have a real affection for each other that may or may not end well.

Well, according to the episode synopsis...

Episode #46: Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken

Arya (Maisie Williams) trains. Jorah (Iain Glen) and Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) run into slavers. Trystane (Toby Sebastian) and Myrcella (Nell Tiger Free) make plans. Jaime and Bronn reach their destination. The Sand Snakes attack.

Written by Bryan Cogman; directed by Jeremy Podeswa.

... it sounds like Tystane/Myrcella are planning their own form of the Queenmaker plot, I guess?

what you're saying sounds pretty much like Jaime fail/Myrcella dying for me...

I just want to see this episode to laugh at Jamie trying to walk into a highly guarded place and snag a princess as if he is coming for a toy. The worst part is Bronn is supposed to be the smart one that is why he was Tyrion's good friend, Tyrion would not be proud of this plan, the boys have let him down.

Compared to this plan atleast LF looks less like the idiot.

Maybe this is where Tristane will be told to go over to Dany and become Quentyn. If they are ending this season with Dany on Drogon then they can do the dragon stealing early next season but he will still need a few episodes to get over there.

I don't think he will need a few episodes. Cersei sent a letter from KL to the Vale and then a rider took the message and rode from the Vale to Winterfell all in about 1 scene.

Based on some of the changes I'm thinking this episode will feature Doran giving a speech about how he is teaming up with Stannjs because that is what's best in the short term and that's all that matters.

I remember Prince Oberyn's reaction to learning from Tywin about Dany and dragons as if he got an idea. Later, he told Cersei he was writting a poem to one of his daughters when it may have been to his brother, alerting him to the news. I bet Myrcella comes back to the captial with uncle Jaime and possibly without Bronne. Trystane then heads to Mereen.

Maybe they will make show Myrcella out to be a scheming bitch just like her mother and steal the throne away from Tommen. Since there apparently is no FAegon.

Nah, no hint of that from what we know of Myrcella in the leaked audition tapes. This is when Trystane tells Myrcella to meet him somewhere, and she tells him how her parents were never in love and all that. I suspect this is basically when the leaked Trystane audition script happens, as that was basically them making plans to meet somewhere.

It's about only feigning alliance with the Lannisters but, sneaking under the grass, biding his time for the return of a Targaryen heir. Namely Dany, whose Quentyn (Doran's eldest son) is off to find and propose.

Unlikely this exactly will happen in the show, but there's chance he tells Trystane that he wont marry Myrcella cause he waits Dany to arrive. But if he's got no plans on contacting her already, it sounds quite vain. So I definitly think the show will surprise us somehow cause I think they've given some thoughts on the matter.

I don't think Trystane will free the dragons. Doran in the show has only one heir, he has to stay alive for a while. Someone else can free the dragons, that doesn't have to be Trystane. But they might keep the plan to marry Dany to Doran's heir.

No I dont think for one second that Trystane will go to Meereen. Doran will wait for Dany to arrive to make Trystane ask her.

But maybe he sends her a message to invite her to Dorne, but I doubt it.

I think, at this point, the most likely surprise even for book-walkers would be for Varys to pop up alongside Doran, working for him to get Dany in Westeros.

Taking into account that Jaimie's rescue plan makes no sense whatsoever, it might be that for the show's purpose, Jaimie being captured by the Dornish is just getting him a step closer to a brotherly reunion at Mereen. We're talking the kingslayer himself as a hostage and for the revenge hungry Dornish, Jaimie would make a nice offering for Daenerys and a great opportunity for an alliance. She gets a Westerosi house and they get Fire and Blood. And for Tyrion it would be his chance to redeem himself in his brother's eyes because he'll do everything in his power to try to save him. We already suspect that our favorite Imp will be Dany's advisor so everything fits. Just imagine Jaimie arriving at Mereen with a nice Sand Snake escort ;)

Would it not be funning if Jaime is offered to be allowed to take Myrcella home on one condition, that he, in front of the lords of Dorne confess that she is his daughter by Cersei and is not a royal princess? Otherwise, she stays in Dorne.

The show likes to ratchet up the book material. I don't see Doran having Trystane wait around for Danaerys. He may do something big, like reveal that he's had agents in Essos recruiting massive armies of mercenary companies, like those gathered around Meereen in ADWD, to fight for Dorne and that he's sent someone debonair like Darkstar to woo Danaerys and bring her into an alliance with Dorne.
