Title revealed: The Dance of Dragons (book spoilers)

Everyone is really excited about the fighting pit scene with Drogon, but I don't see what is going to be the big deal. Is there something I'm missing? Shouldn't be much of a fight with a dragon vs a bunch of dudes.

there will be an assassination attempt on dany herself where the Sons surround the pit and start killing peoples and unsullied ...and we see that in the trailer that dany herself is surrounded by the sons of harpy....

so the show watchers will be thinking that dany is going to die only to be saved upon drogon's arrival ..

and when the sons of harpy try to kill drogon dany will atme him and save him by flying away ...so both of them save each other ....

the scene will have tension built and ending with an awesome shot of dany mounting drogon which will be an epic moment of the show and for HBO for years to come

I think the episode will focus on Daznak's Pit events, though they will reference/mention dragons a lot in other storilines as well, Maybe apart form showing Drogon at the end of the episode we will see the other two dragons in the beginning (visited by danny or someone else)

Alternatively, they could also play Daznak's Pit and "Quentyn replacement" story(with Quentyn replaced by someone else, maybe even some random Mereneese noblemen) in parallel: someone attempts to steal the dragons and is torched, while Danny is saved by Drogon at the fighting pit.

Dany's wedding, Drogon in the pit. Doran makes a move to ally with Dany. Jon might be revealed finally as R+L+J but then Ides of March.

i dont think doranis going to ally with dany ..he is going to plan to crown myrcella and trystene once tommen dies ..iam thinking one of the sandsnakes will kill tommen early next season or this season end

i dont think jon is going to appear either ..

i hope you are somewhat relaxed after last week episode after all it didnt feature any nude sansa or animals like you feared

About Dany.First of all as much as some people would love that, she ain't gonna become The Mad Queen and second point.Yeah,I could see Tyrion's betrayal on the cards, not because of what you said, but because of his love for his brother.Even with Jaime's:I'll chop his head off bla bla bla.

I kind of hope she will become the Mad Queen as I look forward to the slow transformation and observing how her fans react to that as it develops. It would definitely be a better one than, say, Anakin to Vader, which I found rushed and unconvincing. Also I think there needs to be a new villain in the final two books for the story to keep getting interesting. All former villains are dead (Joffrey) or losing power (Cersei) and I don't even consider Ramsay that strong of a villain no matter how much they try.

Daenerys would actually be a much more interesting character to me if she became the Dark Queen and I think there needs to be a balance between her and Jon. Right now she is rather dull and just like Tyrion said in episode 6, what makes her a good queen, truly?

unlike other claimants she is the only one who cares about small people...she tries to learn she admits to her mistakes she constantly questions her actions ...she listens to the council ...and yes with little bit of time and learning she will be good ruler ...after all who is a good ruler in the series ...everyone had thier bads and mistakes as well

why should jon get anymore darker ...we already see dany do questionable actions like most of westeros ...but we havent had jon do anything of that sort so if you need balancing point the arrow at him ...

if you want a real villain how about WhiteWalkers

Sorry, didn't mean balance like that. More like he is Good and thus she must become Evil. And Tyrion will be the link between them as he met Jon in the first book/season and they got along.

Also, the White Walkers as villains are as effective as the Sons of the Harpy as villains, not very much. There needs to be a personification of a villain to make it successful. Now, I could potentially buy the Night's King as the villain...

yeah what iam asking is why cant jon become bad and dany be good ...

me personally dont think either of them as Evil...dany is as good you can get with jon sure the situations she had been in made some hard decisions but she is not Evil...

why only tyrion and jon should have that honor...

dont worry this episode will be also about tyrion and dany just sidelined

Haha well for one I dislike Dany and the entire Essos arc, so I have no desire to see an episode focused completely on it. However, for fans of Dany, and Essos for that matter, I am sure t would be a viewing pleasure.

It would make sense if Dorans move to ally with Dany happens before Dany's wedding chronologically. Otherwise viewers would think: "Well, what's the point in building up to a Martell/Targaryen marriage when the bride is already married to Hizdahr?"

I think there will be a buildup to the wedding, where the viewers will be wondering if another suitor (Trystane?) will be there in time to stop the Dany+Hizdahr marriage. And the events surrounding that suitor and Dany will either a) Never take place at all, b ) happen too late or c) End with her dismissing him, like in the books.

I seriously hope they don't go into this territory. To me the real villains of the story are WW and not her(not so sure about that in the books).Imho she needs to embrace her Fire and Blood side in order to be strong, but that doesn't mean she'll be Mad Queen...as some poeple wanted her to be.Just as Jon's Caesar moment will serve him in similar manner. To strenghten him,to wake up the dragon and prepare him for what's coming up next. They'll became stronger and more ruthless individuals(when the situation demands it),because they're our heroes along with Tyrion.Show made that clear and this is the season of heroes.

They did a lot of parallels between them this season:both of them executed people...both them feels lost as the leaders...lost their mentors(Aemon will die in the next episode and Ser Barry is dead...sadly) and tbh even there will be and assassination attempts FTW and Daznak's.I can imagine Jon will eventually lead Widlings as Dany will lead Khalasar.

Jon will appear there.Hardhome is ep.8 and will most likely skip ep.9 which will heavily feature Daznak's.

A lot of speculation about Trystane, who has been on the show for...less than five minutes of screen time?

It's a big leap for him to take Quentyn's place in the secret marriage pact or to be involved with Dany at all.

I do hope she gets her own standalone episode, if for no other reason than they'll poor a lot of cash into it and make the dragons/fighting pit/harpies scene look spectacular.

And they might be able to fit Strong Belwas into the budget.

looks like jon will be present in the episode so he is going to be in all ten episodes

Jon missed episode 506.

I expect Jon will send Sam (and Gilly and Sam Jr.) off in this episode, after returning to the Wall to find Aemon dead.

it feels like jon was present in all episodes this season...so he will be appearing in 9 episodes

yeah i think so too he will be heartbroken to hear about aemon have a talk with Sam and decide to send him to oldtown ...but now i am thinking we may actually see some things like what happens after jon gets stabbed

I don't think Trystane will amount to much. But a good possibility is a speech making the Dorne storyline seem vital to the overall story.

Fire & Blood type speech where maybe Doran gives a minor history lesson of the original Dance and he unveils his intention to make passage for Dany to enter Westeros.
