January is pretty boring.Might get the new Senlin Ascends reissue by Orbit.

Django Wexler's The Infernal Battalion (Shadow Campaigns #5) is out next week, but i'm way behind in the series, having only read the first book.

Oh,and Alastair Reynolds returns to the Revelation Space universe with Elysium Fire, which i think is a follow-up to The Prefect.Out on 23/25 Jan.

Oooo I didn't know Senlin was getting an orbit release, nice.

And I've only read the first 2 of Wexler, I need to catch up on those.

Either of you know if this is the final book in that series?  I really want to read it, but am waiting until I know that it's about to finished.

A few months old, but I'm reading America City by Chris Beckett and it's outstanding. Very definitely not one if you want to escape real-world politics though.

Having just torn through Twelve Kings in Sharakhai and moved directly to the sequel I'm happy to see the third in the series is released this month :)

Most of what I'm anticipating is later in the year as it happens though.

Also in May

Sylvain Neuvel - Only Human  (Will this end the Themis series?)

Martha Wells - Artificial Condition (Sequel to Murderbot)

Robyn Bennis - By Fire Above  (I really liked the first book)

Julia Fine - What Should Be Wild (Debut, but I find the premise interesting)

Any one read the Whitesides yet? I keep poking at it at the store.

I started it yesterday, just a couple of chapters in.It's very much in the vein of Lynch's Gentleman Bastard.Main protag is a 'ruse' artist,he has a trusty sidekick, they're in the process of adding to their gang to go on a world saving mission etc etc...I'm liking it so far.

So yeah, started Blackwing, think I'm about halfway in, really good so far. Reminds me a bit of Robert Jackson Bennet's Divine Cities but with a Mieville-ish more horror-based styling.

Just got my copy of the sequel Ravencry. The UK edition came out today.Gonna start this asap!
