Did D&D spoil the book aftermath of [ADWD Spoilers]?

Right, so again at the top of this post, as the subject says it contains ADWD spoilers. Turn back now, ye unsullied.

Anyway, if you've read this far you know as well as I what happens to Jon Snow at the end of ADWD. Anyway, in episode 5, Stannis says to Davos "half of these men are killers and rapers," when explaining why Shireen and Selyse are going with him south.

I'm wondering if this is a hint or spoiler of the aftermath of Jon's assassination in the books. I can see it. I'm pretty sure the entire scene turns to mayhem after Jon passes out/dies.
