bloodsteel bitterraven
Jon like most volunteer recruits (not criminals) could leave the Watch at any time before he had sworn an Oath. He was very idealistic when he first decided to join the Watch, but he was disappointed once he realized what he had actually signed up for. I was wondering, what would have happened if when Tyrion was leaving Castle Black, he asked Jon to come with him and be his guest at Casterly Rock, and therefore not joining the Watch? Any thoughts on this?
Lord Wraith
Hmmm Cat, Jon, and Tyrion in the Inn. That won't be pretty at all.
Hodor knows
It would have been great if Jon had left with Tyrion, Jon would kill Cat in defense of Tyrion. Jon and Tyrion would become traveling companions, Jon would be taken under Tyrion's wing and become something very different...

That's were their Jon and Tyrion would split ways. Anyway, he'd probably die at the Red Wedding. And the Free Folk would cross the Wall, raid a couple settlements before being obliterated by either the Northmen or the Others, whoever is faster. And Stannis dies below the Dreadfort, if he even makes it so far.

Tyrion stops there just as well. It's on the way, Bran has woken from the coma, of course they'd stop.
