When Shireen is burned alive in the books will people still be mad at the show? Or will they say how edgy GRRM is?

If it had already happened in the books, people wouldn't mind.

They would bitch if she lived

Hmm...Myrcella and Trystane, conveniently headed off to KL. Is Tommen on the writers' chopping block?

I think the difference is proper storytelling -- GRRM will lead into it in some cool way... D&D won't.

Because the show has set up that Stannis is super loving, and he's more distant in the books, so I could see it working maybe in the books but not in the show.

This is not the place for discussion, but... no one is mad at Shireen being burnt. We all are smart enough to have realised is going to happen. It's all about why, how and by who.

/end it.
