Where do we go from Here? With tears...

Recommended Posts

Judging from Sansa's "If I'm going to die, let it happen while there's still some of me left" quote from the preview, and that shot of Brienne and Pod in what looks like the same scene as the Sansa shot, I'm guessing Brienne and Pod finally arrive to bail Sansa out, but she refuses to escape in favour of what sounds a lot like a suicide mission. Maybe she decides to try to take Ramsay and/or Roose out by herself (thus the corkscrew). Then, having been spurned again, Brienne goes after Stannis and takes him out? Seems like a lot for one episode.

Any word from Patchface? Was he not supposed to reveal things after the ninth episode?

I don't know which were more heartbreaking: Sansa's screams as she's raped, or Shireen's scream as she's burned. :(

To be honest ( and you know how I feel about Sansa ) dying by fire is the worst possible death for any living being.

I think it may be simpler then that, she may tell them to take Theon he knows WF as good as the Stark kids and have them relay that her brothers are alive and give a form of return my liege Lord statement to Stannis, as she works from inside, or Brienne or Pod may hide in the crypts to help her, while the other leaves with Theon.

I so do not like what we saw of Sansa in the preview with this talk of her dying. Makes me friggin nervous considering how all my remaining favorites are just getting battered this season lol. Not that I don't expect that from this series, but damn. Davos better GTFO before he gets his turn at it next. Though what happened to Shireen is bad enough for him, she was like his daughter.

I have to say when the "Previously On..." clip played before this episode, the part about Myrcella's necklace gave me this faint glimmer of hope that they were going to do something clever with that plot, like that Cersei sent the message herself to goad Jaime into going, and it backfires, and he finds out about it... and then the show happened, Myrcella's like someone stole that from my room.........and that glimmer of hope died away swiftly.

I can't begin to predict what will become of Trystane, Myrcella, and Jaime's adventures back to KL, but all I can say is it puts Myrcella in a spot for Cersei to see her die... fulfilling the prophecy. Then there's only Tommen left of the kiddos.

Tyrion, Jorah, Daario, and Missandei seem to be twiddling their thumbs in the preview. I wondered if maybe the final episode we'd see something happen with Hizdahr but that conspiracy was put to rest rather bloodily when he got shanked this time around. I guess he wasn't the Harpy? IDK, I'm kind of sad. Liked his actor. I don't know what else Dany's counsel can reasonably do other than make plans for keeping the city in order and hoping she flies back. Maybe we'll get a romantic interlude with Grey Worm relieved his lady love is alive. Because I know everyone is dying for their reunion. No, characters are actually dying to give them screen time...

Arya will be the fresh piece of meat figuratively, Meryn will be the piece of meat literally, served on the end of a sharp spit, hopefully. ;) Jaqen totally has Arya's number though and I'm getting on board now with those who say her arc this season will end with the blindness as a punishment.

Sam I suspect will leave for Oldtown with Gilly prior to FTW, maybe one of the earlier scenes in the episode.

I hope Sansa isn't dying and gets to let some blood or do SOMETHING other than just escape. That's potentially the only good reason for that line in the preview. Or, in my theory, she could be saying that, to shame Theon into coming back into himself. I hope she isn't the only reason he does, though.

Brienne and Pod will..................never mind, I have no idea and I'm not even going to try. :dunno:

Cersei will confess and do her Walk of Shame. I'm leaning towards we won't find out what happens with any of the actual trials for her, Loras or Margaery until next season. There's just not enough time left for any of it. HOPING at the end of the walk we get to meet Qyburn's pet project.

Davos might make it to the Wall if he borrows transporation from Littlefinger? Either way I'm hoping to see him even for a little bit, to know where he's headed. He definitely had dark suspicions about Shireen and I don't know, I somehow doubt even his legendary loyalty to Stannis can withstand such an event. He may find new purpose elsewhere.

Olly finally gets rid of the neon sign over his head and FTW happens. We are left to think Jon is dead. I don't think we'll get any other information on that score.

Dany runs into a khalasar in the Dothraki Sea. This ends the series finale.

After the Assassination of Stannis Baratheon by the cowards Benioff and Weiss:

Brienne kills Stannis.

Dany finds Khalasar

Tyrion and co. impossibly survive.

Cersei walk of shame.

Somehow the Faith Militant are stopped, because religion is bad, kiddies, mmmkay?

Next season they cartoonify Euron, an already extreme character.

And I cant say Ill care.

I think it's a misdirect statement, more of I know what I must do even if it cost me my life, not necessarily a foreshadow of her dying, just a pragmatic realization of her situation.

There was nothing terribly shocking in this episode. The shireen scene was sad, but I think we knew Mel was insane since we met her in CoK.

But Thorne.

"You have a good heart Jon Snow. It will get us all killed"

To me, it seems that Allister, though he hates the idea, sees the logic behind Jon's decision. I am convinced that Thorne will not be apart of FTW. Unless of course there is a pink letter and he thinks Jon has gone too far, but as of now it seems Throne grudgingly supports Jon.

I'm hoping that's true. It's been nice to see Jon trying to mend fences with the guy even despite how he can be. I'd much rather see him being an unlikely voice of dissent than another one driving the blade into Jon's back.

Accept everyone and their deceased knows that Kit is signed in for the next two seasons..... So not real sure what they are going to do about that. I have my ideas, but we shall see.

Let's hope... Coming on the heels of this episode though my nerves are shot. One favorite character after another has been placed into terrible situations that either never happen in the books or at the very least haven't happened yet. It's been awful.

Yeah, he follows the chain of command even if he disagrees with Jon, he sees where he's coming from, but if Jon leaves because of Sansa, it will push him over and he will shed the tears doing the Ceasar act.

I'm aware, I just think for the short stretch of time following the finale until people not in the know figure as much out, or pics of Kit on set get leaked or what have you, it'll have its shock value to have no clue that he's warged or is being resurrected, etc.

In the preview for the finale, it looks like Stannis runs into Brienne and Pod though.

Ramsay&Co probably fled back to Winterfell.Maybe Brienne gets into it with Stannis, and Ramsay gets into it with someone back at Winterfell?

I think Brienne and Pod are going to meet up with Sansa next episode, not Stannis

I have to believe that if Allister wanted he could have refused to open the gates. It isn't like the support for that decision wasn't there.

@Grail King - I agree, I don't think Sansa is going to die, but it seems that she is willing to die for something she feels that she must do.

:agree: At least Mance got that merciful arrow from Jon. Shireen had it so much worse. :crying:

Her parents could have had the decency to drug Shireen into unconsciousness prior to burning her, but noooo, then the audiences couldn't have been treated to the spectacle of a young girl screaming in unimaginable agony.

No I agree, but it just seems like they are in an awkward position. Unless they add more to the scene. At any rate it will be interesting to see how it plays out. It's a shame the finale did not air on April 1st......

In the promo it seems like Jon received some sort of letter. If Allister does turn, I can see that being the reason.

:agree: Where was the mercy, the Red Witch could have done that easily.

The irony of April 1st would have been very apropos. Well, I guess we'll have to wait a week to see what they've opted to do. And as long as he's not dead indefinitely it's all good.

It's hard to guess who might be in the mutiny party. Olly is the glaringly obvious choice, but they could pull a switch on that one and he doesn't end up having to do anything about it - Sam's inspiring speech changed his revenge-addled mind and he's crying seeing Jon hurt or something. Earlier in the season it seemed like Edd would be a mutineer, but after Hardhome I'm not so sure that's likely (I hope not anyway). And then you've got Thorne, the only other NW member with significance in the show. What side will he end up on?

At this rate it could mostly be unnnamed random NW doing the deed. They've started to really mirror the Olly scowl this episode.
