mafro987daboss Posted June 8, 2015 Share Posted June 8, 2015 It has to be said that - whatever your view of Stannis/Mel's characterisation - Kerry Ingram did an amazing job, not just during the sacrifice scene (where Tara Fitzgerald as Selyse and Dillane as Stannis also did great) but with the Davos scene too.Perhaps the best (if underrated) child actor on the show, Kerry's going to be missed! The King Of Cooked Steak Posted June 8, 2015 Share Posted June 8, 2015 Yeah, Kerry has always had one of the more underrated performances on the show. She was just exquisite, and I'm quite sad to see her go. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
The Ghost of Winter Posted June 8, 2015 Share Posted June 8, 2015 She was so adorable, I'm going to miss her. Especially her scenes with Liam. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

sj4iy Posted June 8, 2015 Share Posted June 8, 2015 I never liked Shireen in the books. I really liked her in the show. Dammit. Good luck, Kerry. You did an amazing job. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
The Blind Cookie Posted June 8, 2015 Share Posted June 8, 2015 If you see her as the definition of a loving child, they showed the Stannis Baratheon sigil on screen in a figurative way. I feel so depressed now... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Twenty of House Goodmen Posted June 8, 2015 Share Posted June 8, 2015 I'm going to miss her. For all the crap the show gets, their portrayal of Shireen was a much welcomed improvement over the books. Kerry's done a wonderful job as her. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
siimkkoger Posted June 8, 2015 Share Posted June 8, 2015 Baibai! ... great child actor.. the screams while burning were amazing.I hope to see her again in some great movie or TV show Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
yanmaodao Posted June 8, 2015 Share Posted June 8, 2015 Another great child actress. She left us too soon. I also think her own lifelong struggles with brittle-bone disease informed her portrayal of Shireen. I wish her the best in her career and health. Rise Above Posted June 8, 2015 Share Posted June 8, 2015 lol @ that one comment " I was told you would die, or worse, the Greyscale would go slow and you'd grow just enough to know the world before taking it away from you. Everyone advised me to send you to the ruins of Valyria to live out your short life with the stone men before the sickness spread through the castle. I told them all to go to hell. I called in every maester on this side of the world. Every healer, every apothecary. They stopped the disease and saved your life. Because you did not belong across the world with the bloody stonemen. You were the Princess Shireen of House Baratheon. And you are my daughter." ..........annnnnnnnnnnnnd im weeping. And then he burns her alive Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

ADanceWithCats Posted June 8, 2015 Share Posted June 8, 2015 She was amazing. All the actors in the scene were amazing. Even the extras. e: That said, since it's Kerry's appreciation thread - yeah, let me repeat, she was amazing. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Fearodh Posted June 8, 2015 Share Posted June 8, 2015 yap, good acting on her side. Guess that is part of the reason why so many ppl are unhappy with the whole episode, it felt fucking wrong when she died. Bye Kerry. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Posted June 8, 2015 Share Posted June 8, 2015 I am very glad now that I've known it was going to happen since I saw the season trailer featuring Selyse looking at something in anguish. It could not have been anyone other than Shireen. That conjecture was reinforced when Stannis said that his family was going with him to Winterfell. There aren't any Kings I've heard of that have done this. Its not exactly a picnic. I was still hoping Liam Cunningham would jump out of somewhere and run off with her.
