Stag_legion
The only part I really liked was the braavosi water dancer in the pit fighting scene. The guy's moves were awesome! I actually wanted him to kill jorah in that scene but I know better. Really disappointing who get got killed though.

The Grandmaster
I thought the SotH attack was well done. Is it a background track or are they actually chanting behind their masks? Whatever it is, it gives me the chills anyway!
Hiram McDrogon
I wanted to add to my original list -the actor playing Doran is quite charismatic looking. There is something about his face that is compelling. Yeah, he has aged very nicely indeed - there was nothing wrong with him in the Deep Space Nine days, but now, wow. Fantastic face. Good catch for those who have pointed out the stag in the torch flames. I'll be looking for that on the rewatch.
sj4iy
I thought the SotH attack was well done. Is it a background track or are they actually chanting behind their masks? Whatever it is, it gives me the chills anyway! It's the background track called "Son of the Harpy" from the soon-to-be-released soundtrack for season 5. ValrianSunni
I forgot to mention that I liked the fact that now we know Hizdar was not the leader of the harpies. Why would you say that? I thought they just turned on him in the crush.
ummester
Watched it again and really enjoyed Mace with the Iron Bank guy, the 'You are the world's greatest gamblers' line made me chuckle, Mace's tiny bit of insight amidst his almost total idiocy. Or perhaps Mace just plays the fool, it's his defence mechanism - I guess with Olena for a mum, he had to find some way to hide from her spite. direwoofwoof
I love Bronn and don't know why but the scene where he gets an elbow in the face made me giggle. And the pie-soup line. That guy is a survivor!
Seneti
One of my Unsullied friends and I agreed that this was quite far the most Game-of-Thrones-y episode we've had in a while:- Horrific character death? Check!- Big fuckin' dragons? Check!- A villain you love to hate? Check! (that's Trant, btw)- Awesome music? Check!- Lots of blood? Check!- Boobs? sort-of-check (all perfectly covered this time) Now, as for the details, in chronological order, since I was taking notes during my rewatch:- Melisandre's "oh crap" look at the fires in the camp - didn't see that one coming, did ya?- no horses were harmed in the making of this episode- show-Aliser once more showing that antagonist =|= evil- Tormund hugging what appears to be Karsi's girls- that one nearly frozen to death Baratheon soldier - terrific acting from a two-seconds extra- Ellaria spilling the wine- Jaime standing up for Bronn- Tyene bitch-slapping Nym and Obara's comment - the sister-to-sister-interactions between these three are gold- the Iron Bank looking gorgeous- Lhara buying half a dozen oysters off Arya's tray and making her client pay for it- the looks of "oh crap" and "what the hell" from everyone including the matron during Meryn's "too old" scene- Jaqen's look at Arya's lie - did he believe her or not?- "You write like a seven-year-old."- Shireen innocently pointing out the parallels between the Targaryens in the Dance of Dragons and the Baratheons now- hats of to the entire Dragonstone crew, particularly the Princess Shireen of House Baratheon- Selyse desperately trying to find reason in the sacrifice and failing- Stannis's look of "What the hell have I done?"- faceless harpy statue on Daznak's pit- Dany's dragon jewelry- the end of Daario's smug speech and Hizdahr's "You were saying?" look- "My father would have liked you."- Hizdahr once again talking some truth into Dany.- Braavosi water dancer :)- both noble men and freed men cheering for the battle- both noble men and freed men being Sons of the Harpy- both noble men and freed men getting killed by Sons of the Harpy (which really makes me wonder who's behind them)- Drogon roaring at Dany was hilarious and so in-character (he looks gorgeous, btw)- Dany finally riding Drogon (although the chafing and poking must have been a bitch)
ummester
- Dany finally riding Drogon (although the chafing and poking must have been a bitch) yep, exactly where Drogon's spines ended up might just be the biggest plot 'hole' :D Also, totally agree that it has been the most Game of Thronesy, or 'in tone' episode this entire season. Finally, just made me think of another very positive element I noticed this ep - Shireen's comment about why do we have to pick a side? All the picking sides is what leads to all the fighting, or something - that little girl was in touch with one of the deeper messages in the show, and got torched for it. But her innocent vocalisation of that message was really well delivered.
Tyrion's Third Wife
-- Davos giving the gift of a hand carved stag to Shireen-- I loved the verbal sparring between Daario, "Lord Kravitz" and Tyrion-- I literally gave a "WHOOP" cheer when Lord Kravitz bit it. I was getting very very tired of that character. I was especially pleased he never actually married Dany.-- I'm happy Dany forgave Jorah.-- I was thrilled to see Tyrion get bad ass all over a harpy, saving Missandei-- Drogon was awesome, as was the whole pit scene. Xarkar
When they got surrounded in the pit, I couldnt help but think of the trailer (which did not have Tyrion in the pit). I rewatched the trailer, take a look at 1:17https://youtu.be/F9Bo89m2f6g?t=77 The unsullied left and above Jorah has no shadow. If you watch thishttps://youtu.be/ljaSl4MeWLs?t=182 It is exactly where Tyrion is standing. Surprised it wasnt picked up at the start? (or was it)
