DirePenguin
I'm trying to make sense of Ser Davos' conversation with Shireen - seemed to me I could make it to the grave - but I don't understand. Was he saying that, because Shireen taught him to read, he may live a long life to the day he dies peacefully or something? Any help please? jugdesh258
nothing special. just a figure of speech. not sure where you are from or if you are translating. He is just saying that he once thought he could live his life without needing to read, even though his son tried to convince Davos to let him teach him many times He was of humble begining, found himself rasied up to hand of the king, and Shirreen stepped up and got him of a real Jam in his diplomatic abilities even if they were boring old letters. That was show invention. I only recall of the books that the maester made Davos sit in class with Shireen and Edric
