Did anyone else love this shot at the end of 5x09 during the 5x10 preview?

Not sure if I should post this here or in the 5x10 forum

Anyways, at the end of 5x09 when we got the 5x10 preview did anyone else just love the short shot of Tyrion, Jorah, and Daario sitting on the steps leading to Dany's throne? They look just utterly clueless and you have this awkward thing where two guys who love Dany seem like they may need to work together for her.

The shot made me lol. I thought it was great. I don't know if it was intended to be humorous, but it made me smile. Tyrion is stuck between two guys who want to help Dany. One of the guys has never been with her, the other guy has taken her "every possible way a woman can be taken" or however it was said. Awkward lol

I hope at least one of them asks: "So ... why exactly did she abandon us all when we were in great peril?"

I was thinking more like "Well, it was nice that the Sons of the Harpy simply went home after Dany left. It would have been bad if they were interested in killing anyone in her inner circle besides Hizdarh zo Sansa."

Yeah, and Jorah and Daario were probably grateful that those SotHs had this strange killing rule 'you can kill a woman in any possible way, but never ever throw a spear at her'. :D

It reminds us that this is frickin' TV show after all, so don't take it religiously.

No doubt that (St.) Tyrion, the man who has been in Meereen for probably no more than a week, and has never been to Meereen or met a Meereenese person in his entire life before now, will take charge here, and succeed.

And what do you think why Martin and the show, being a bit quicker, send Tyrion to Dany?

The show only condensed the problem of those left in that one picture but Tyrion is the fresh input their think tank needs.

He may fail though at first attempts.

But that's this forum:

If he succeeds he is St. Tyrion who gets undeserved love by showmakers since D&D have not read the books and never realized that Martin hates the character of Tyrion.

If Tyrion fails it's I told you so and Dany once again is Mary Sue to the showmakers who have not understood her character.

I mean, they wouldn't have needed to put him there if they'd let Barristan play his proper role. Barristan as a ruler and Tyrion as a slave = two men in situations completely reversed from their normal circumstances, facing new situations that greatly challenge them and force them to adapt. In the way they've adapted the arcs, that richness is lost. There was no reason they couldn't have shown Tyrion struggling in slavery and had his escape come in episode ten, while Barristan rules in Dany's absence. The show chose not to depict these rich arcs. Instead, Tyrion's a slave for less than an episode before he's magically placed back in political power. It's unrealistic that Dany would trust him so easily; and dramatically undermines his development.

I had the opposite reaction. I thought, "What a stupid shot."

You don't have one fan favorite character start the season on a journey to meet another fan favorite character and than not have those two meet. Accelerating the meeting of Dany and Tyrion was one of the best decisions the showrunners made this season.
