Eddy of the Godswood Posted July 10, 2015 Share Posted July 10, 2015 Here I'm gonna tell you guys about one of my favorite video games.Ace of Spades Classic is a voxlap run first person shooter with sandbox building. Originally developed in 2011, it provides an old fashioned sense of bad pixel quality and gameplay from run and gun all the way to sittin' and snipin'. You might be thinking it's exactly like Minecraft, but besides for the graphics/blocks, the gameplay is very different. Not only because it has guns, but it's also completely PvP. If you really get into it you can mod scopes, gun skins, bases, player skins, grenade skins, spade models, intel, and even sounds!I personally use pixel scopes for my rifle and smg, with customized skins, and a spas 12 model shotgun with an ironsight.WeaponsAs you can see in the trailer, there are three weapons: rifle, shotgun, and sub machine gun.Rifle great for all distances, but plays best at a medium long range. The weapon most players snipe with.SMG made more for run and gun and taking down enemy structures with its fast bullet spray. *cough* noob weapon *cough*Shotgun beast at close range, obliterating all the enemies and blocks it hits. Love to use this in arena.In addition to these three choices, you automatically have a spade, grenade, and 50 blocks.Spade you can use take down buildings, dig through the map, or brutally savage other players.Grenade just what you think it is, pulling the pin and exploding everything around it. Suicide charges are the best :lol:Game ModesMost of these servers are available at http://aloha.pkTeam DeathmatchFirst team to reach a certain amount of kills wins. Capture the FlagGrab and capture the enemy team's intel the designated number of times to win.ArenaTwo teams that fight to the death with no building, destroying, or respawning until one team wins the round by defeating the entire enemy team.Tower of BabelBuild a tower to the heavens, grab the intel, and hurry back down before being shot.One Capture the Flag Spoiler Capture the only intel which is placed in the middle of the map for both teams to grab. Reverse One Capture the FlagCapture the only intel and take it to the enemies' base for a nice twist on ctf.ZombiesCapture the flag, except you can play as either a zombie or human, zombies have 10 times normal health and can jump extremely high, but are limited by only being able to use spades, unless you capture the human team's intel and turn into a human-zombie that is!Four TeamsFour different teams play with one intel on specially designed maps.Free For AllEveryone man for himself!Tug of WarCapture enemy bases in order until they have none left.Territorial ControlCapture all the bases for your team to spawn in until there's no more bases left for the enemy team and your team emerges victorious.Last StandOne team attempts to defend their base without respawns against the enemy team coming in waves to try and take it until the time runs out.Dig DugGrief your way through the map to try and recover the intel and reach your base inside a completely ground filled map.TennisFight with shotguns and grenades through an unbreakable net in between the two teams.King of the HillCapture and hold the designated point of the map for the given time limit.InfiltrationOne team attempts to breach the enemies' fort, grab the intel, and rush quickly back to their base, while the other team defends.Football & Soccer'Kick' the base into your teams designated net or touchdown area.Intel Role Playing GameCapture the only intel to gain various powers.BlockpowerEquip a block to choose a power. Capture the intel to level up your powers and unlock new ones, which can also be done with high kill streaks.ClassesChoose a 'class' to help you defeat the enemy. Each class contains unique powers to help your team or defeat the enemy players.Also known as 'mode' or 'rpg'.PushBuild your way to your base while undertaking constant enemy fire.SmashoffShoot, spade, and grenade without damage to knock enemies off the map to certain death below.BuildReserve a sector and show off your artistic talent by building magnificent artwork.So, anyway, hope you guys enjoy. Jagex bought the game, made it twice as bad and focused completely on spraying miniguns, and put it on Steam. The classic version is considerably more focused on strategy and skill.
