Tor.com is offering a free e-book until the end of October 20th and this time it is a worldwide promotion:

https://www.tor.com/2017/10/18/free-ebook-download-winter-tide/

I really liked the Ruthanna Emrys's previous novelette in this setting:

https://www.tor.com/2017/04/24/innsmouth-legacy-the-litany-of-earth/,

so there is every reason to hope that the novel is good as well.

Amazon UK has a number of fantasy titles on offer in their “big deal” in the kindle store today.  Blackwing by Ed McDonald from this year plus the Prefect from Alistair Reynolds, House of Shattered Wings and a bunch of other classic and recent books.

edit - apparently it’s a Gollancz sale so it’s across all the ebook platforms.

Also available in the rest of Europe.

I think I picked a lot of the titles up already in previous years, they are worth checking out.

edit: Full list here https://www.gollancz.co.uk/2017/11/gollancz-festival-ebook-sale/

Interestingly, A Wizard of Earthsea was what Le Guin wrote after she was asked by a publisher to write a  fantasy novel for a YA audience specifically. Le Guin discusses this a bit in the afterword for my copy of A Wizard of Earthsea.

If you haven't read them, the afterwords for Wizard and The Tombs of Atuan are both well worth it, in my opinion (haven't read The Farthest Shore yet).

I've been reading through the series this year and enjoying it as an adult, but it is indeed YA.

Mishell Baker's Borderline is (currently?) priced at around €3.50. I not yet read it but have heard good things about it when it was nominated for a Nebula earlier this year.
