Euron Greyjoy = Daario Naharis

I've heard this theory before and I kinda brushed it off but now I'm starting to believe it

Euron Greyjoy and Daario actually have a lot in common they are both good fighters both are arrogant both are interested in Dany and her dragons both seem to have a seductive nature and in the show Naharis has 93 ships the same amount that Victorian Greyjoy was given in the books also Daario dresses like a Tairoshi (forgive me I know I spelled that wrong sorry) which seems to be an easy disguise

I'm not completely convinced myself but I'm curious what others think

There's plenty of clues to support a connection, though I'm not sold. My biggest question is why not reveal yourself and propose the marriage? If it's not love its certainly a deep lust she has for him, after the Kingsmoot he would've been all set up to make his move. A combo of the Unsullied, the Iron Fleet, the Stormcrows & a single dragon would be enough to conquer Westeros..

It's an interesting theory but it doesn't make much logistical sense. The Iron Islands and Mereen are very far away from each other, and I think that the Stormcrows and the Ironborn would have both noticed if their leader kept disappearing and reappearing.

However, if Euron does want to marry Daenerys, it would make sense for him to establish a connection with Daenerys beforehand. Dany wouldn't marry Euron Greyjoy but she would marry Daario Naharis, especially if she learns that Daario has an army of Ironborn supporting him.

Despite this, I still don't believe it. The distance is just too far between Mereen and the Iron Islands.

But it is documented in the text that both Daario and Euron keep appearing and disappearing, at least from the POV of characters we have access to.  What other characters know, other than the ones we have access to, is not documented.

This theory clearly requires teleportation, unless you are instead arguing for some sort of ability to replicate himself.  Which is no less absurd.

The theory does not require teleportation ... only a fast ship and consistently favorable winds, obtained with the aid of dark magic and human sacrifice; abilities directly hinted at in the text.

The idea that it requires teleportation is based on the belief that the chapters in STORM OF SWORDS are presented in chronological order, which GRRM explicitly warns might not be the case in the book's preliminary note.

Yes, but a company of sellswords would definitely have cause for concern if their leader kept disappearing and failing to lead them when they were sent out to complete tasks like getting the Lhazarene on Daenerys' side. Maybe it's possible that the sellswords are in on the plan, but I doubt that. There would be too many loose ends that way, and neither sellswords nor Ironborn would be very good at keeping secrets.

The bigger problem is if Euron left the Iron Islands. It just wouldn't make sense for the newly-crowned king to leave his seat immediately after being crowned, as he has too many enemies (Asha, the Harlaws, Damphair, the common people, the families of the men he executed) who would be more than happy to usurp his reign at any chance they get. I don't really remember anyone saying that Euron disappeared from the Iron Islands after he was crowned, but if you provide a passage proving that then the theory might make more sense.

[1]  When Daario goes missing, so do his sellswords.  When he returns, he returns ahead of his sellswords, or without them -- the sellswords seem to remain in the field, (which would tend to isolate them).  The sellswords will notice nothing wrong if Daario is absent, because the sellswords have no idea that Dany thinks Daario is with the sellswords.  Also Daario (like Euron) likes to cut out people's tongues.

[2]  But that's exactly what happens.  Euron puts the old guy in his seat, and sails off into the sunset.

"The Crow's Eye had summoned all the strength of the Iron Isles to Old Wyk and sailed out into the deepness of the Sunset Sea, with his brother Victarion following behind like a whipped cur. There was no one left on Pyke to appeal to, save for her own lord husband."

LOL.  Not just no, but fuck no.  Going between the Iron Islands and Mereen by ship would take MONTHS, and just as long to get back.  Daario being gone for up to half a year would be noticed and commented upon.

At a steady 12 knots, Daario/Euron can make the trip in under 3 weeks.  To do that consistently implies magical assistance of the Storm God and/or blood magic, but that is at least hinted at.  And Daario has not one, but two, absences from Dany, of perhaps several months length, noted in the text.

However, Raving Stark the Mad's point is not without some weight, since I cannot really refute it without resorting to "magic" as an explanation.  This is a fantasy story, so magic can occur, but it is an extraordinary claim, and it should require some evidence to counteract the need to rely on it.  So here is a list of similarities between Daario & Euron that I raised before:

[1] Both have bright blue eyes, or (in Euron's case) one bright blue eye, the other being hidden.

[2] Both have eyes that appear to change color depending on the light or the color of his hair.

[3] Neither are young men. Euron is older than Victarion, whose hair is starting to grey; and Daario claims that the days he has lived are as numberless as the stars in the sky.

[4] Both have beard and full head of hair.

[5] Otherwise both have skin that is smooth, hairless, and pale.

[6] Both are very comely.

[7] Both boast of having slain countless men and had sex with countless women.

[8] Euron is a seaman, whereas Daario has (unexplained) salt stains on his leather boots, when Dany first meets him.

[9] Both operate in the South coast of Essos.

[10] Both like cutting out tongues.

[11] Both picked up 12 new companions after the Kingsmoot and the Shield Islands conquest.

[12] Both have an unusual degree of interest in claiming Dany as a bride or lover.

[13] Euron is hinted to be well endowed and virile. Daario is quite the porn-star in bed with Dany.

[14] Both are unpredictable, chaotic, vicious and bloodthirsty.

[15] Both are associated with the words "storm" and "crow".

[16] Both have a tendency to smile alot.

[17] Both are prominently introduced to the story, only to go absent for extended periods.

I've always been quite skeptical of this theory, despite your above list which makes a good foundation for it. I guess the 3 weeks trip is what I have a question about, and by no means do I intend any rudeness, but where did you come up with this? Is there an actual way to calculate the time and distance to make this work, and can ships of the size of Euron's make a steady 12 knots (I'm not very seafaring lol)?

In fairness, out of dubiousity (is that even a word?), I did some checking.  I estimated, low end, the trip being around 5700 mi.  At 12 knots, fast but not exceptional, you can indeed make the trip in under 3 weeks.  Something around 20 days.  Round trip is still going to take a month and a half, and time spent in one location is time away from the other location.  So any way you cut it, Euron has to be gone from one area for months at a time, even if you have a magic ship that can make 12 knots continuously.
